From Janet Evanovich, number-one New York Times best-selling author of the Stephanie Plum novels, and Lee Goldberg, best-selling author and television writer for Monk, comes the first adventure in an electrifying new series featuring an FBI agent who always gets her man, and a fearless con artist who lives for the chase.
FBI Special Agent Kate O’Hare is known for her fierce dedication and discipline on the job, chasing down the world’s most wanted criminals and putting them behind bars. Her boss thinks she is tenacious and ambitious; her friends think she is tough, stubborn, and maybe even a bit obsessed. And while Kate has made quite a name for herself for the past five years the only name she’s cared about is Nicolas Fox - an international crook she wants in more ways than one.
Audacious, handsome, and dangerously charming, Nicolas Fox is a natural con man, notorious for running elaborate scams on very high-profile people. At first he did it for the money. Now he does it for the thrill. He knows that the FBI has been hot on his trail - particularly Kate O’Hare, who has been watching his every move. For Nick, there’s no greater rush than being pursued by a beautiful woman...even one who aims to lock him up. But just when it seems that Nicolas Fox has been captured for good, he pulls off his greatest con of all: He convinces the FBI to offer him a job, working side by side with Special Agent Kate O’Hare.
Problem is, teaming up to stop a corrupt investment banker who’s hiding on a private island in Indonesia is going to test O’Hare’s patience and Fox’s skill. Not to mention the skills of their ragtag team made up of flamboyant actors, wanted wheelmen, and Kate’s dad. High-speed chases, pirates, and Toblerone bars are all in a day’s work...if O’Hare and Fox don’t kill each other first.

I'd listen to almost any book read by Scott Brick, especially stories that have an important female character - he does females well, with only a small tweek of inflection.
These books are fun entertainment for a ride in the car where you're turning the story off and on - you don't have to worry about forgetting where you are in the story.
A bit different but totally engaging. Lee Child and his coauthor did a great job on this story!!
Nurse, mom, loved to read....but now I love to listen. When I retire I hope to hear waves crashing in 1 ear and audible in the other!
I picked this up on sale and I am glad I did! Great characters, great story and fabulous story teller make me want to pick up the next in line!
This is a really lovely book! It's fun, as in almost funny but not quite comedy. The writing is witty - but not mad, as in Spike Milligan. There's suspense, but not the intense and morbid sort where people get caught and brutally tortured. The two protagonists: Fox and O'Hare, are absolutely lovable. Fox is a con artist. His cons are good (I wouldn't say brilliant, but good enough). I didn't really want the book to end, and, of course, I'll read the next book in this series. Only I'm concerned: will the authors be able to match this one?
Solid characters, action, humor & a touch of romance!
The humor is great. Adore Kate, Nicholas & Kate's dad.
Scott Brick can be a bit heavy-handed at times, but overall I like him & thought he did a great job on this book.
