Finally Finished
I was given a physical book of the Forgotten when I was 15. Unfortunately I had lost and didn’t finish due to moving states unexpectedly. I couldn’t. Stop thinking about where I had left off and what may have happened next. I’m so glad I found it on audible and finished the book. I’m 21 now. So that’s says a lot that all that time I still wanted so badly to continue reading this book. Wish they could make it a movie.

A very well written book
A fast moving well written very enjoyable and kept you listening kept you intrigued by what was going on probably his best books so far

Good for a long drive....
We enjoyed the Forgotten..a bit long but all of David's audio books keep you going for 12 plus hours...good storyline..recommend.

Not David's Best

yes
How could the performance have been better?
His female dialogues are very awkward and Cassidy's rendition makes them sound so inane and trite.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, when Mecco won the contest for Lampert's soul & body. Overall, it was his vindication and performance that made the book work for me.
Any additional comments?
Books like this really suffer when the protagonists are faced with too many crises and harrowing situations. Getting them out alive gets more difficult and un believeable as the book goes on.The transition from having the slaves in the warehouse to having them back on the platform in the Gulf was virtually instantaneous and done in too few hours compared to the pages of description used to get them ashore in small boats in the first place. There were too many shortcuts like this.
I have very much enjoyed a fair number of his books, but this one didn't make it.

Entertaining
Found it hard to stop listening to it. Keeps building interest chapter after chapter. Can't wait to get to the next book.
