It is entertainment from the first to the last minute.
Only Simon Kernick is able to write a such book, why The Final minute can only be compared to some of his earlier books. However, in my opinion, The Final Minute is his best novel so far because Simon Kernick has written less unrealistic events in this book.
Wery well, indeed. Paul Thornley is my number one.
No, not really. But dividing it to 12 - 18 parts while taking a daily walk makes the walking alot easier, even in lousy weather.
Of course, Simon Kernick books are nothing for "deep thinkers", only great entertainment with some unrealistic parts just as in a 007 James Bond film.
An engaging, fast-paced thriller. The characters have some dimensions which save them from being mere espionage stereotypes. The framework of the story, an amnesiac racing against time to regain his memory, holds up well.
"one of kernick's best."
Simon Kernick is one of my favourite authors and this is one oi his best books I think. non stop action conbined with great characters made this a book I couldn't stop listening. Paul Thornley is a terrific narator
"Pretty good listen"
Although not his best book this is not bad and passed a few evenings. I thought the ending could have gone in various ways and was a little disappointed in the way it did. It was the least entertaining, but very gritty and leaves the way open for another book featuring the main character. The narrator is my least favourite on audible, so I found myself drifting off by the end of each evening. Sadly he reads a lot of Simon Kernicks books, so it's a case of tolerate his voice or don't buy!
The story is intriguing and captures your attention throughout. enjoyed listening and liked the premise. would recommend it.
"Kernick does it again"
Loved it. Simon Kernick is soon turning to my favourite author. Read all hus books now and eagerly awaiting his next.
This book was straight into the action from the get go. Then it didnt stop as both you and the main character tried to work out the epic plot.
Keep them coming Simon
I love Simon Kernick books. Great plots and non stop action which keep you hooked. I also like the way he portrays his characters who you are familiar with from previous stories. If you like thrillers you will like this
Love all of the Kernick books and this was no exception…just sad he hasn't any more out that I've not read!!!
Mark Peterson's crime novels…same sort of genre!
I love Paul Thornley, he is my favourite narrator of all…what more can i say???
No emotional reaction ... just on the edge of my seat, as usual...
When is Simon Kernick's next one out?
The story grabs you and draws you in among one of my favourites
Do not like to compare books each is special in its own way.
The opening sequence was the one that drew me in
Yes and No
"Fast paced edge of your seat!"
Brilliant once again from Simon Kernick! Would highly recommend A🌟
Any book in the series is worth a down load
...and I do not say this lightly. I have previously enjoyed Simon Kernick's books in print but felt this one was really weak. However, it was the narration that really made this almost unbearable to listen to, like a staccato Phil Michell impersonator, dreadful. Persevered but was left feeling let down by this one, cannot recommend.
"Fast moving, enjoyable but not memorable"
Tried and tested plot so similar to many others, but enjoyable nonetheless.
I doubt I will remember it a year from now
