Publisher's summary

Ex-Baltimore cop turned special-ops shooter Joe Ledger is back in action.

In The Dragon Factory, Ledger and his team from the Department of Military Sciences square off against two separate groups of corrupt scientists. The beautiful but twisted Jakoby Twins are creating transgenic monsters and genetically enhanced mercenaries for sale to the highest bidder. Their father, who takes evil to an entirely new level, is using cutting-edge science to complete the Nazi master-race program.

Joe must elude the NSA who are gunning for him, fight his way past rogue Spetsnaz teams, and stop these madmen before the Extinction Clock runs out. And when the bloodbath claims one of his own, Joe Ledger declares total war on those people who would burn down the world in order to reshape it in their own dark image.

Take another thrill ride with Joe Ledger.

Critic reviews

“In Stoker-winner Maberry’s wild second Joe Ledger novel, Joe and his comrades from the Department of Military Science take on enough villains and their world-threatening plots to fill half a dozen ordinary thrillers.” ( Publishers Weekly)

Suspend reality and ENJOY!

I loved this book more than the first one! Joe ledger is a fantastic character! You have to be able to suspend reality for a while, and just let the story happen, but if you do this book will not disappoint! SO much action, and great fight sequences. There were even a few "HOLY _____ " moments in this one. Very good book! Ray Porter is AMAZING as well. LOVE the way he narrates these novels. A+ all around!

I can see a pattern!

I really like the story line a lot. I just wish I could get the picture of men in drag every time the story teller speaks as a woman!

Great Series

This is the 2nd Joe Ledger book I have listened to. The narrator does and excellent job and the story line is easy to follow.

Love it!

Awesome work! The story is great, well written and the reading by Ray Porter, GREAT as always! Five stars all around and I will be listening to the next one! Spoiler alert so if you have not listened to this book yet you may wish to stop reading here. One comment for Grace, shoot first talk after! That's it, that was my one "beef" with this book. Had Grace waited as she did and after she got her information just came in guns blazing she would have neatly taken out the two others and had the third in control without the fight her "comment" entry started. I had long guessed the outcome for Grace and that was also something I wish didn't happen as I really liked her character a lot!

Outstanding Narration

Ray Porter is the best of the best when it comes to great narration. The story was good but I'm more impressed with his narration.

Great story line with all three books.

Would you listen to The Dragon Factory again? Why?

Ledger is a great character: flawed and human.

What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?

Great voice inflection to build the characters.

Contining goodness

Great story, but this review is mainly to say the Ray Porter is, hands down, among the best narrator in the business. Mastery of accents and tone are superb. HIs ability to switch between them within a dialogue leaves me in wonder.
