No Literary Masterpiece - But A Lot of Fun!
This audible book was a great light read that had me laughing out loud quite a few times. The story itself is a murder mystery, but with subtle humor added. The narrator's performance was superb as his "voices" for the different characters brought the book to life. The characters weren't a complicated lot, but they had their own personalities that the narrator captured perfectly. A lot of the humor was in understatement and the narrator was in synch with it all the way. If you're looking for some good, clean, escapism - this is a fantastic listen.

Quick enjoyable listen
Good dialogue. Good characters. Good, if somewhat predictable, plot. I don’t use credits on such short books, so I was glad to find this one included. I hope there are more by this author.

A bit dated but an entertaining listen
Kind of like episode of Longmire. An entertaining listen. The only downside is the reason for all of the criminal activity by today's standards is bit dated but don’t let that hold you back.

Such a good book!
This is a far departure from my usual reading, but I’ve enjoyed it. Laugh-out-loud funny in places, the story is interesting and the narration is perfect. I will read more of this genre, and recommend it highly.

My First Audible and...
My first Audible and it was delightful! It was a good mystery and the McManus humor shined through. The narration was excellent. I'll certainly continue with Audible at least with non-serious titles.
