With over two million copies of his works in print, Patrick McManus is an accomplished humor author. In The Bear in the Attic, he once again invites listeners to peek into his unique perspectives on life and his favorite topic, the great outdoors. Simply the best

Patrick McManus is just the best Humour writer alive. He has built on the work of some of the greats. Mark Twain, Jerome K. Jerome, just to name a couple. He is funny without swearing, which makes him suitable for long car trips with your family. We found audio cassettes of his a long time ago and have been avid listeners ever since. His characters become your friends. Thanks for finding these and offering them.

Awesome!!!

Pat McManus was truly the greatest humor writer of the previous century, and everyone would find great enjoyment and fun listening to his books. The narrator is spectacular, and does an amazing job of bringing the stories to life.

I LOVE these books!

I have read/listened to EVERY one of Patrick F. Mcmanus' books several times! The stories never get old. It is good, clean humor that my sons and I have enjoyed together for years! if you like fishing, hunting, camping, basically any outdoor stuff, you will love these too. I wish he was still around to give us more...The world lost a truly funny man and national treasure when he passed. The Narrator Norman Dietz, IS the voice of Patrick McManus and all his hapless characters, especially Rancid Crabtree, my favorite! No one else should even try! Absolutely recommend every book!

Funny and interesting book good for young people.

I liked the characters in the book and enjoyed the humor of the author. It is a good book for young people who would find the antics of the characters quite amusing. There was no profanity that I remember.

No growling here

Norman Dietz is a perfect complement to Patrick McManus' tales. McManus knows how to spin a yarn, and Dietz knows how to bring it alive. We all have a person we know who tells an excellent story where reality and fiction get humorously blurred. The audio version brings you along with the story. I did listen to it on a much faster audio speed than I usually do.

Loved Pat's stories for years.

I have been reading his stories from the early 80's. I had a few autographed in High School. Some of the ways he approached his " Life Experiences" growing up made me laugh, because they were almost identical to what my friends and I did.
Growing up in a very-very small town with only one channel on the t.v. Back then you had to entertain yourself. Thank goodness almost all of us survived to be belittled by our own children. The Audio books are great for car rides, and getting the kids to listen, but they are lacking something. I'm not sure exactly. Like I said I love the stories, I'm just disappointed with the audio production. I do have many Audio books that are great, so it's not the "Audio" part..
