Publisher's summary

When an LAPD narcotics officer is found with a fatal bullet wound and a suicide note, Detective Harry Bosch follows a bloody trail of drug murders across the Mexico border.

Working on the case, LAPD detective Harry Bosch is reminded of the primal police rule he learned long ago: Don't look for the facts, but the glue that holds them together. Soon Harry's making some very dangerous connections, starting with a dead cop and leading to a bloody string of murders that wind from Hollywood Boulevard to the back alleys south of the border. Now this battle-scarred veteran will find himself in the center of a complex and deadly game - one in which he may be the next and likeliest victim.

Impressed? Ace detective Harry Bosch is also on the case in other exciting Michael Connelly crime-fiction novels.

Addicted to Dick Hill!

That Harry Bosch is a clever guy! Looking at clues in an 'out of the box' way, pushing the boundaries, and getting the girl! Looking forward to the next books in the series...but seriously, if they aren't read by Dick Hill it will be a tough go.

Love this series

Great series, good narration. Stories are interlaced between one another, characters grow along the way. Enjoyed the imagery

LA Fever Dream

Do not listen to this book in bed. Mr.Connelly makes this city
seem so grimy and desperate. It alters your brain and twists your day. The writing is good, dark and dense. The music from 'To live and die in LA' played in my head the whole time.

Harry Bosch in top form.

If you could sum up The Black Ice: Harry Bosch Series, Book 2 in three words, what would they be?

A gripping story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Black Ice: Harry Bosch Series, Book 2?

"It felt like the detective bureau had become a fish bowl, and he was the only one in the water". I love Michael Connelly's descriptive writing, it brings the whole story to life.

What does Dick Hill bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Dick Hill has a wonderful gruff, detective type of voice and he makes Harry Bosch seem very real.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoy this series and would highly recommend it for people that enjoy listening to a story that they want to stay up late to finish.

Hooked on Harry Bosch

Enjoyed Black Echo immensely, was very excited to find the Black Ice intro at the end...since I hated to stop listening! I now have the entire list of Harry Bosch stories and will be looking forward to my commute time again! Great stories with good character development, not too easy to figure out where the plot is going!

Another hit in the Bosch series

Another hit in the Bosch series.

The story line is great and Michael Connelly certainly has demonstrated that he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to police and legal issues and jargon. The narrator was ok Dick Hill at times is way too slow and vaunted with his pace and timing. He’s ok at best as Harry Bosch. Titus Welliever is far better ha I g played the character on TV.

A Good Harry Bosch Entry

Harry is still working Hollywood Division in this installment when a murder happens. This one takes Harry south of the border to figure out what happened while fighting the department along the way. Good story and a twist you won't see coming. Well done. Narration is typical Dick Hill..which means excellent character depiction. I enjoyed it.
