What a great read

This author and narrator were both new to me. And the book was such an entertaining and quick read that I found it difficult to put down. Highly recommended.

The brilliant pairing of Simon Prebble and Michael Robotham, made this a listening pleasure.
So happy to have discovered Michael Robotham and immediately downloaded his other books narrated by Simon and Sean Barrett. I'm in 'mystery' Nivana...thanks, Audible!

This was the best Audible book I have listened to. The performance was excellent .

Not a likeable character anywhere, but good book

I certainly kept listening but boy, oh, boy...did I wish there were some likeable characters. There weren't. Overall, worth listening to and I'll read/listen to more of Robotham's books. Going to look for some right now.

Good Book, Not Great

I think most people that enjoy sophisticated mysteries or thrillers will find something to like in this story, but it likely won't make it to your favorites list. That said, parts of the book were very intriguing and well-written, especially the parts utilizing the main character's psychology training. Unfortunately, the middle of the book is better than the ending.

Would I listen to another Michael Robotham book? I would say yes because he strives to write something more unique in this genre.

Solidly good book

Nice pace, kept me interested. I thought I knew who the killer was...nope.
I love a good thriller and this one was pretty darn good. This was my first book by this author. Looking forward to listening to many more.

Wow Great!

Well this has to be a sale book because I would not ordinarily pick this style to pass my time. I will now! Having low expectations with sale books is the way to go because the endorphin rush when you get a winner is awesome! The author knows his stuff, great descriptive writing! You’ll see the characters in your mind. Lots of phycological bent brain stuff! Warning, some graphic descriptions, could be too much for some, my own brain contorted not to let my ears hear some of it but it’s largely brief. The narrator is excellent. The audio could be better, I almost took a star off for narration because you can hear mouth sounds but this is not the narrators fault and he is excellent at his job! Spend the credit!

a pyscho-thriller from the mind of a psychologist

Its interesting as the 1st person narrator is the sleuth/hero. Some of his insights have stuck with me. I'll look for more by this author. He can probably write well in many genres.
