I'm Just Wild About Harry!
...and he's just wild about MAGIC! All of the Dresden file books have a thread of continuity, referring to previous stories and characters. But each book stands on its own, with enough flash back and referent allusions to inform the reader without overburdening the flow. In Summer Knight you learn more about the composition of the Faerie Courts and the concept of debt, meet new/old characters, and learn his new title bestowed by the pixies. James Marsters does a masterful job of creating all the voices and keeping them straight. Since language is music to my ears,and he does mispronounce a few words, I gave James 4 stars instead of 5(because I can't give a 4-3/4!). All in all, if you like magic, and an improbable-but-game hero of a wizard with dogged persistence and determination and the mind of a gumshoe, try the Dresden files.

Another masterpiece
Jim Butcher and James Marsters do it again! This time Harry Dresden faces off against the odds with trolls and tree monsters in his path! A beautiful and mysterious woman, a suspicious death, and a sudden reaquantance all spell trouble for Harry as he battles to gain credibility with a council of old, scraggly wizards.
Love your work Jim, and it is even better the second time through!

Fairy Feud
Very Intense book. Harry will get killed by the white counsel unless he gets the White Fairy queen to grant them passage through the Never-Never. But there's been a murder and he has to solve it or there'll be war between the Summer and Winter Queens of Faeridom.
oh damn!
There's deaths. And some sweetness as he learns to overcome some of his pains. Accepts help from his friends.
And still the mystery of why everyone expects him to be evil.
