Listen on people!
I really liked this one! It was an easy listen and I felt myself pulling for the main charactors. Has some very comical moments, that made me laugh out loud. Have recommended this book to friends. Looking forward to more from Levine...
loved this book, husband and I listened together on a road trip. It's a hilarious light book, with lots of laughs and an excellent narrator. Although the second in this series is not as good, due to both content and change of narrator, I would highly recommend this one for sure!!
While the plot was rather shallow, the text was witty and the narrator did a terrific job. This was a "laugh out loud" kind of book.
This book title is listed under legal thrillers. In my opinion, it should be listed under comedy/drama. Long story line, too much filler. The aspect of an autistic child being the center of the plot, does cause one to pause and wonder, how much does our government interfear with family values and step it where they don't belong. Good read otherwise.
I really enjoyed the first half of this very predictable, yet quite funny book. Towards the last few hours, the writer goes into great depth describing his juvenile fantasies of lust. It was funny at first, but it's way overdone. And Bigby is such a nonstarter, I can't imagine Victoria ever hooking up with him, despite her father.
Anyway, this is an okay book and will give you some real belly laughs, but it's not a book that you can't put down.
The book reminds me of the “Thin Man” movies. Enough twists and turns in the plot, humor, emotions and feelings the reader/listener can enjoy, and you won’t be disappointed with the story, characters, or reader.
