Story
Over twenty years ago, the heiress Patricia Lockwood was abducted during a robbery of her family's estate, then locked inside an isolated cabin for months. Patricia escaped, but so did her captors - and the items stolen from her family were never recovered. Until now. On the Upper West Side, a recluse is found murdered in his penthouse apartment, alongside two objects of note: a stolen Vermeer painting and a leather suitcase bearing the initials WHL3. For the first time in years, the authorities have a lead - with the suitcase and painting both pointing them toward one man.

Another winner by Greg Iles
I read this book solely because I had just finished "Third Degreee" and was left wishing I had more of the story. I thought choosing the same author was a good alternative strategy, and I was not disappointed. Good suspense, a little supernatural intrigue, a la Stephen King. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Not up to Iles' standards
You never quite know where Greg Iles is going to take you when you pick up one of his books. I persisted with Sleep No More because I so wanted the author, one of my favorites, to make it all make sense in the end. But not even the presence of Penn Cage, Iles's best character ever, could save this one. I don't want to give it away, in case anyone else, like me, is determined to give it a go. Let me say this. I've only been to Natchez once, and I keep trying to get back. I just hope, if I ever do return, I don't find any residents similar to the ones in Sleep No More.

Iles does it again.
Don't listen to the prudes and naysayers with the negative reviews. I have read and listened to all of the Greg Iles books and they all have one thing in common. They are all outstanding. This one is quite different then his other thrillers, but its a seriously well written page turner. There is a lot of sex in it, but it really adds to the story line by creating a near taboo aura. If your a Stephen King fan then you'll love this!

Escape the Real World
What did you love best about Sleep No More?
I'm a big Greg Iles & Dick Hill fan. I loved that I was able to escape the real world for a few hours.
Would you recommend Sleep No More to your friends? Why or why not?
I would recommend this book to my friends that read mystery thriller fiction.
Have you listened to any of Dick Hill’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I am constantly amazed at the range of voices Dick Hill uses. I actually visualize the characters when he changes voices. I never feel as though Mr. Hill is just reading the book. He puts a lot of effort into his performances.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I will always think about this book when I see a woman [or girl] twisting her hair around a finger. Is she fighting the other woman within her?
Any additional comments?
The premise of this book is quite creepy. There were points in the book I felt nauseous and had to stop listening for awhile! The fact I couldn't stop listening or thinking about the book, brought me back to listening to the end. I wouldn't say this was a great book but it certainly allowed escape from reality for a few hours.

Sleep no more
This wasn’t my kind of book. Too far out. I did not enjoy the subject and the presentation was weak.

I enjoyed it
The reader was good. She had a different response for each character. She kept it moving well. The story was great. From halfway through, it was hard to stop listening.

Very different from other of his titles I’ve enjoyed
Not a fan of this book but too far in to quit before it took a weird turn. Still love Greg Iles though!

Love Greg Isles Books
I am a huge fan of Greg Isles and while I liked this bold the super natural twist was a little out there for me. The narrator as always was great and the book was still good, just not my favorite.

Not what I was expecting.
This is different than the other Greg Iles books I have enjoyed. Story was good and the characters were captivating. The narrator was excellent.
