Publisher's Summary

Bottom-feeders beware: the Sunshine State's favorite psychotic killer and lovable Floridaphile, Serge Storms, has found a new calling, legal eagle, and he's going to make a killing as a crusading attorney - and star as a dashing lawyer on the big screen - in this madcap escapade from insanely funny New York Times best-selling author Tim Dorsey.

When it comes to swimming with the sharks, there is no bigger kahuna than Serge Storms. Bingeing on a marathon of legal movies set in Florida, Serge finds his vocation: the law. Never mind law school or that degree; Serge becomes a freelance fixer - wildcat paralegal and pilgrim to the hallowed places where legal classics of the big screen such as Body Heat, Cool Hand Luke, and Absence of Malice were filmed practically in his own backyard.

One of Serge's old flames, young lawyer Brook Campanella, is also a rising star thanks to her expertise in the field of foreclosure law. Ruthless at taking down the greedy banksters kicking people out of their homes, she lands a major class-action lawsuit and looks set to win big. The opposition is determined to shut her down, and they'll go to extreme lengths to do it.

Luckily for her, Serge likes nothing better than saving a damsel in distress, especially when it means kicking a bunch of shyster butt. The mayhem comes to a hilarious head at the Key West courthouse at the height of the island's raucous Fantasy Fest street carnival, and no one, including Serge, will ever be the same.

    ""When Polly's in Trouble"............"
If you could sum up Shark Skin Suite in three words, what would they be?

    Laugh Out Loud

What does Oliver Wyman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Oliver Wyman brings the characters to life, from voice inflection and tones of the characters to the fast pace of the narration. He is the voice of Serge.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Hang on

    Any additional comments?

With a quote from Underdog, a couple of "Serge-isms", stops throughout Florida, a seasoned cast of characters, and a Colman plot twist, what is not to like. "Shark Skin Suit" rates in my top three from Tim Dorsey.

"over the edge funny. .many memories"

Oliver brings each character to life in a way that stage or screen could never do. i think that the next book was a little better but this was a great introduction to Olivers interpretation. maybe i just had a few to many memories of South Florida, the keys and key west brought back to life 👅

    "Ok, but a tad disappointed"

Good entertainment value but petters out about midway. Feels a bit too soft, needs a little more of the original Serge's craziness and Coleman's, well colemaness

    "Winding down slowly"

Tim is running down. He started slow, got better for a while and is on the downside now.
    The plot thins.
    The narrator is plain horrible.

    "Not so good"
Would you try another book from Tim Dorsey and/or Oliver Wyman?

I have all the tim Dorsey but won't purchase any more audible Dorsey with this narrator. Dorsey's books are good hard copy but this story has a different personality for serge as well as a narrator that is very different.

If you’ve listened to books by Tim Dorsey before, how does this one compare?

    not so much

Would you be willing to try another one of Oliver Wyman’s performances?

don't know - the serge voice he was trying didn't work but his timing and changes to voice for various characters is pretty good. I would have to sample a lot.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

none. I can't finish it as it is boring and I am old.
