Great Rapp Story

Narrator was probably the poorest I have heard. Fortunately Mitch, the Magnificent, can handle even Ken Kilban's reading. Otherwise, this book would have gone down in flames.

Mitch Rapp is not helped by bad narration.

The story is a little slow in development. It being read by the Geico gecko doesn't help.

Narrator is terrible story is awesome

Wow this is like seeing a big fat cheeseburger delivered to you and then finding out you have to eat it through a straw..... literally this story is absolutely awesome and keeps you on edge but enduring the terrible narrator who couldn’t even compare to the normal voice of rapp “George” is just like what I stated... eating through a straw... good is great but delivery sucked....

Good story, not so good narrator

Overall, I liked the plot of this book quite a bit. I even liked that it was basically a sequel to the previous book. However, I almost stopped listening to it after the first hour bc of the narrator. This is the third narrator in the first five (I think) books I’ve listened to about Mitch Rabb. The first narrator was pretty good, the second was good, and this third one was horrible! Every character ended up sounding either really angry or really whiny. It was both annoying and distracting. The narrator significantly “overacted” throughout the entire book. Please tell me he doesn’t read the next book, too!

Slow start and poorly narrated

All the other Mitch Rapp books had me eagerly listening from beginning to end. This one however, took a while to gain traction. The plot itself was enjoyable from about half way through on out. The narrator was the biggest disappointment. Word annunciation was oddly enough very bothersome. Even names of characters were pronounced differently than in previous books in this series. Worst of all, was the use of inflection. There were far too many times where the message didn’t match the tone. In Other words, an entire statements were read with emphasis and inflection commensurate with animated anger. The context of the conversations however indicated more of a normal conversation or even a jovial exchange. It became very confusing at times.

This Narrator is just... bad

I love Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series and have more or less enjoyed the narrators, but this guy is just horrendous and makes it almost impossible to finish the book. It's like he's never been in any of those types of situations and has no idea what kind of tone to give the characters. Everyone sounds angry or whining every conversation.

Almost unbearable to listen to

This book was almost unbearable to listen to. The narrator completely ruined this story for me. I have been a big fan of this author and the main character Mitch Rapp. I Was a big fan of Tom Clancy books as well so I know a good technothriller when I read one. He writes truly great books but this was the worst narrator you could’ve picked. Very sorry I didn’t listen to the free sample this time before buying it. I probably would’ve passed and just read it on my Kindle instead.

Great story, lousy narrator

Despite already owning the book, kindle and audible versions, I would pay to have a version narrated by Guidall instead. Unless you envision Mitch Rapp and most other characters as a screeching old professor type, then you may love it!

I liked this one.

Mitch Rapp is back and the focus of the novel is on him figuring out who set him up in the last book. He, of course, does what he has been trained to do and is so gifted at doing. Another solid installment in the series.
