Publisher's summary

CIA director Thomas Stansfield is dead - and many individuals in the nation's capital are pleased to hear it. However, their happiness is short-lived because Stansfield's successor - his protege Dr. Irene Kennedy - plans on pursuing Stansfield's goals - a fact the late director's fiercest enemies refuse to accept.

Israel has discovered that Saddam Hussein is close to entering the nuclear arms race - and they've vowed to stop the Iraqi madman before he can get his hands on the ultimate weapon. With the Middle East teetering on the precipice of chaos and devastation, the president of the United States is forced to act.

The commander-in-chief's secret weapon? None other than the CIA's top counterterrorism operative, Mitch Rapp. With the haunting specter of World War III looming, Rapp races against time and impossible odds - navigating the deadly alleys of Baghdad, tearing through the corruption-riddled streets of Washington D.C., and taking drastic measures against anyone who gets in his way.

Hear Mitch Rapp, the CIA's top operative, battle global terrorism in more of Vince Flynn's political thrillers.

Whis it was in they unabriged format

This was the third book that I have read with Mitch Rapp in it although this is the first in the group. It had a great plot and kept you wanting you to read more and never putting it down. They only downsied to it was that it was in they abriged format.

Non Stop Action!

I absolutely love this author. It's non stop action with a storyline that could have been plucked out of last weeks newspaper. Mitch Rapp is a great character to support such an amazing story.

No matter what stoory line fantastic

I cant put the story down. I want to keep reading what's next with Mitch Rapp. The only problem with this particular presentation was the reader. Very monotone at times.

Not up to snuff

Would you listen to Separation of Power again? Why?

Listened to this just to stay in order of story

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The ending was satisfying

Did Armand Schultz do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Fair

Any additional comments?

Not as good as earlier books. Abridged edition.

Much better with this narrator

I had initially started listening to this book with another narrator (Ken Kilban) and couldn't get through the second chapter. I was SO glad to find this version and while the story was a little bit weaker than the other books (and this narrator pronounces Anna's last name differently than the other narrator I'm used to) I thoroughly enjoyed it. Clear and easy to listen to - no shouting or making characters sound whiney. Glad I gave the book a second chance.

Abridged better than unabridged

Audiobook Review - Separation of Power - Vince Flynn
Preferred Abridged version because it was Armand Schultz over the Unbridged narrator who totally ruin the Mitch Rapp character for me. I prefer George Guidall’s Mitch Rapp narrations but familiar and pleased with Schultz as Scot Harvard/Brad Thor. A definite listen per Abridged and definitely not the Unabridged version.

Not Full Book

It was performed well. Much better in fact than the other version on here read by Ken Kilban, which is why I purchased this version. However upon seeing that this version was only 5 hours instead of the full 14, I had to return it.

I'm only writing this review as a warning to anyone else who might make the same mistake as me.

Underwhelmed.

Underwhelmed. This was the first Vince Flynn book that I have experienced. Because I have seen so many good reviews of his work, I can only think that the abridged recording takes too much away from the book Mr. Flynn wrote.

Mediocre at best

I was disappointed by this novel. The inter-personal issues raised were completely discarded when it came time to wrap up the story; the wrap-up was far too simple.
