Publisher's summary

Lincoln Miller, an ex-Navy SEAL turned NCIS special agent, is sent to Aquarius, the world’s only sub-oceanic research facility, located off the Florida Keys, to investigate reports of ocean dumping. A week into his stay, strange red flakes descend from the surface. Scores of fish are dead and dying, poisoned by the debris that turns to powder in Miller’s fingers and tastes like blood.

Miller heads for the surface, ready to fight whoever is polluting on his watch. But he finds nothing. No ships. No polluters.

No oxygen.

Instead, he finds a cloudless sky full of red particles dropping like snow and coating the ocean with a thick film that stretches to the horizon. When a dead blue whale collides with Aquarius, Miller begins a harrowing race to escape the affected area.

Cut off from the rest of the world and surrounded by death, Miller makes his way to Miami, where he discovers just one survivor and the awful truth: The strange phenomenon that robbed the air of its life-giving oxygen was an attack by an enemy reborn from the ashes of World War II. And they’re just getting started.

Miami, Tel Aviv, and Tokyo have all been destroyed. Millions are dead. And if Miller can’t track down and stop those responsible in seven days, the rest of the world is next.

If you like Matthew Rielly

Would you consider the audio edition of SecondWorld to be better than the print version?

This book was very well narrated and fairly origanal in its story line. Its not a book I would run to the bookseller or the library and grab in hard copy as the audio version was plenty good enough for me.

Would you be willing to try another book from Jeremy Robinson? Why or why not?

This book after a strong and original opening began to behave like a Matthew Rielly novel(no bad thing if you are a high octane action fan). And yes I would read another Jeremy Robinson book and hope there is a sequel as the main hero Miller is a likeable nearly believable character.

Which scene was your favorite?

The opening stanza in this book was breathe taking in everyway(lol) and set the stage well for a fast pace battle against the the old enemy of freedom(no not the republican party but there close relatives the nazis).
I also liked the ending in which Hitler gets to live-a cool twist.
A message to Jeremy-get cranking on a sequel pronto buddy?

Survivor and TheCowboy! YES!

Loved this book AND the audio adaptation.
Robinson once again sets the standards for entertainment high.

I suck at writing reviews, but J.R. ROCKS at writing adventure stories with a twist of history thrown in.

Great characters! Looking forward to seeing more of Survivor and The Cowboy.

First half good

I like J. Robinson books but this one fell apart and got kind of silly in the second half. I finished it but skipped ahead several times. I’ll read Robinson again but this was kind of a miss.

Good tie ins between facts and fiction

I enjoyed the research put into this story to make it relatable. I also enjoyed that it was a novel and not a series.

The narrator nailed all the accents and different languages but his attempts at female voices left me cringing. He was also forcing drama with his tone. I’m glad I made it through the whole story but there were several times I almost moved on.

Fantastic story

I started this book before bed one night and boy was that a mistake. Meant to only listen for about 15 min but an hour and a half later I was having to force myself to turn it off and go to sleep. It goes from 0 to 60 in the very beginning and doesn’t let up the entire time. Fantastic story and great narration.

The author's

I found the premise and story trite, stereotypical and predictable. And I was bugged at myself for getting suckered into it.

In this story, a lot of white folks, especially southerners, are racists, yearning for Nazi purity. Bent on exterminating everyone on earth except for themselves.

Along the way, we learn that the Bushes supported the Nazis.
Guys who drive pickups are probably racists.
Lots and lots of folks in the military are racists.
People who have southern accents are probably racists

And bizarely.....John Wayne was actually a small man and movie producers made doorways small to make him look bigger.

John Wayne was 6'4".

Note to author. racism in America is so rare that it is FREQUENTLY manufactured.

Awesome story

Loved the story. Most of Jeremy’s books are great. This ranked close to the top for me. The narrator with German accents was the perfect complement.

Awesome book

I loved this book it was as good a book as the distance by the same author. I like books with new and interesting plots not the same old boring cookie cutter books and this one is perfect. The characters had me laughing out loud and really getting into this story.
