"Francis' writing is smooth and intelligent, moving the reader right along." (Publishers Weekly)
"Francis offers up intrigue, adventure, and a gripping, fast-paced plot." (Booklist)
again have not read print book
no real favorite
he is a good storyteller
the incident in the eye of the hurricane
Never tire of reading Frances' novels nor of listening to Tony Britton bring them alive
"Goes at a fast pace."
I couldn't put it down and housework etc . was done with it as accompaniment. Not a lot of the science was understandable to me, butit didn't detract from the story as the overall weather conditions were obvious. As always our hero was super human, but that all added to the fun. A great read and Tony Britton's voice is so right.
"Not his best work"
I usually enjoy Dick Francis's books, but not this one I'm afraid. Despite flying into hurricanes and some other intrigue I was left with the impression that nothing much happened. I have no idea how the main character came to some of his conclusions. Overall an anti-climax I'm afraid.
