Enjoyed the book and all the characters.

Story is written well. The author does a good job of developing the character, I like how they appear in different books.

Great Read

Interesting characters and plot. Twist, turns, surprises. cJ Box paints pictures in your mind as he describes the beautiful, wild area in and around Yellowstone

what's with all the pauses and deep breaths during narration??

the story was great. But I was ripped out of the story each time the narrator made an extra long pause and then took a loud deep breath before starting the new chapter. This really ruined the flow of the story.

great story

Editing needs work. Spots had short repeats others indicating this came off of a disc series (i.e., "...this is the end of disc number 5") otherwise a great story and great series.

Problem with chapter display

The story was great but I like to listen by chapter and the chapter numbers were out of synch with the display.

Another good one

Joe Pickett is one of my favorite characters. In this book he emerges as a very human, very conflicted man. While his strength of character rings true, we now see him as a flawed man. Somehow that makes him more believable and appealing.

I like David Chandler's reading....just right for this western setting and its varied characters. .

My favorite Joe Pickett mystery yet!

Out of Range to me is where CJ box comes into his own. His story line is fluid, his characters full and rich, and his plot moves along at a clip. Great work. Highly recommended!
