Fine.
A bit of a corny and cliché story and plot elements, but still a fun distraction. a lot of reviews say this is like Jurassic Park and The Thing, but it reminded me more of a summer popcorn flick version of John Carpenter's The Prince of Darkness. There were interesting points, mainly when things start to actually get gory and violent. Those are some of the better written points with everything else sometimes feeling like an afterthought.

Now with Extra Pulp
I wanted to like this, but it was way too pulpy for my taste. Unnecessary one liners during high stress moments. Broad chested every man hero. Introduced plot points that made little sense. Convenient all encompassing knowledge of the world and everything in it by main protagonists. Overly convenient nonsense introduced as means to escape any situation (just happen to have the kaposi sarcoma medical radiation machine deep underground in a bunker). The voice acting was fine other than Bub. I hated Bub's voice. I grew up on Inspector Gadget cartoons. Every time Bub spoke I thought he was going to warn them of getting them next time. Overall, this was not for me.

A unique idea that really held my attention!
This audiobook was expertly narrated by Luke Daniels. His voice for the demon really gave me the creeps! An ancient creature resembling a demon or Satan is dug up and studied by scientists over the course of many years. Is it really a demon or an alien or what? The book will keep you wondering throughout right up until the exciting conclusion.
This was definitely a page turner that kept me wondering what Bub really was.

Amazing book. Makes you think what would you do.
I really liked this book. It was one of my free monthly books, but it is one of the greatest creative stories I've come across. I can't recommend it enough and I'm already halfway through my second listening.

Creepy!
I happily stumbled across Origin in an Audible sale. How do you provide the voice for a demon, you ask? Obviously Luke Daniels knows, because he is an awesome narrator. This book is totally creepy!
