Another favorite

It just keeps getting better and better. I have listened to this series at least 4 times over the past 6 years. My first listen through was on cassette/CD. Wow! I enjoy Ms. Peters wit and the thrill of a great adventure. Ms. Rosenblat breathes life into Vicky, John and especially Schmidt.

Love love love this series.

As always; Elizabeth Peters is entertaining and Barbara Rosenblat delivers fabulous narration. Love this series as well as the Amelia Peabody books.

Anything Barbara Rosenblat reads is a WINNER!

What did you love best about Night Train to Memphis?

Elizabeth Peters has a shot-in the funny bone sense of humor--and her one-liners are unique.

What did you like best about this story?

The relationships between the characters, the twists and turns of the plot, and the tiger-like attitude of Vicky Bliss.

What about Barbara Rosenblat’s performance did you like?

Everything! Barbara's ability to establish personalities and people using believable voices is amazing!

Any additional comments?

Start with the 6th book in the series (The Laughter of Dead Kings)--then go to the 1st--through the 5th--ending with the 6th again. ENJOY!

Terrific story, terrific narrator.

Barbara Rosenblatt is AMAZING! Just hear Vickie, John, and Schmidt sing together! Terrific story and a narrator to match.

Christine

I was very disappointed in this book. I have enjoyed several in the Amelia Peabody series and thought I would try the Vicki Carr series. I hadn't realized that the premise appears to be that a supposedly smart woman goes about doing very dumb things, resulting in getting herself and others in danger, at which point she can be brave. The devices were so obvious that it insulted a devoted mystery reader's intelligence. This is my last Vicki Carr book.
