3.5 stars BDSM with a Female Domme

**3.5 Stars** I very much enjoyed natural law. A BDSM story where the female character is the domme and the male character is the sub. I found the role reversal refreshing. This book starts out hot and bothered and doesn't let up. Violet and Mac have an instant connection and chemistry that is palpable. There is a bit of a mystery/suspense to the story as well. The book seemed a bit overlong for me, it think it could have been edited down for the same effect. There was also some phrasing and word choice that didn't make sense to me. For example, "cousining" was used multiple times but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what it meant. I also felt like while there was a lot of detail shared about the main characters personalities and relationship, I missed the rationale for why the D/s lifestyle called to them specifically. Maxine Mitchell does a great job narrating this book and bringing all the characters to life. The scenes in the club, Tyler's dungeon and the bedrooms were beyond fiery and unique. Definitely a story that will spark some new ideas ;)

Kinky masterpiece

Rare story of Alpha macho male submissive and a petite younger fem domme.

BDSM scenes are hot and incredibly detailed.

Love the main characters.

Narration is good.

Best mix of erotic and suspense

This book did an excellent job of giving you sex and suspense it was a very well written book.

Normally I like an alpha male but this was a good change of pace with sub male dom female.

I was to write a book about my personal life (a true documentary on the real life experience) and decided against it when this series was released . . . as, Joey's stories represent significant realities of my own life and my current relationship with my Queen.

Joey shows that true Dominance/submission is real in the world around us. To all true Dominants and their beloved subs (and those who are intrigued by the life-style), I encourage listening to this entire series by Joey Hill . . . she is brilliant.

Deeply Moving Story, great narrator

Joey W Hill is a fantastic storyteller in the D/s genre. I enjoyed the battle of wills between the main characters in this book.

I can't believe that people like to listen to such degrading things. I find nothing loving or romantic in this book. Just full of degrading sex acts.. I like a lot of the erotic books but I couldn't finish this book it was just too many sick things being done to the Sub.The D/S stuff I don't care for. But I have listened to some that have been OK. But this one went way to far in the sick things that she had her sub do.

What would have made Natural Law better?

If all you want to hear is sex, this is the book for you. Very juvenile and not a 50 Shades of Grey if that was the intent.

Add more content/story.

this had a good outline with some new and interesting twists,but author waxed too poetic...I would read poems if I wanted poetry.

no, I like the genre,but this author's execution was way too slow.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Maxine Mitchell?

this reader has an AKA, I can't place it...not my favorite and I would not buy a listen by this reader again. Weak man's voice. What 6'4" 220 lbs man sounds like young boy. Sounds like Eva Kaminsky, who I do not like unless in the Sullivans only.

What character would you cut from Natural Law?

the characters were good. Outline good, but fill in of story just did not happen.

this story was on sale....I would not waste a credit on another of this author work unless reader changed and other reviewers gave lots of stars
