"The murderer is with us - on the train now..."

Just after midnight, the famous Orient Express is stopped in its tracks by a snowdrift. By morning, the millionaire Samuel Edward Ratchett lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside. One of his fellow passengers must be the murderer.

What a treat of a whodunit!

What a fun story, and even better performance by Dan Stevens. Dan's ability to hop from one character to another, in a story with many, is very impressive. The impressions are funny and unique. And I was even surprised coming back here to see there was only one narrator!

The story itself is a classic, and is a must-listen for any mystery/whodunit fans :)

Classic brought to life!

A classic whodunnit and expertly performed! The narrator is talented and gave distinct voices to each of the cast of characters. Highly recommend!

Excellent!

A great story, and excellent performance. The performer did a wonderful job with all the voices. I will certainly look fir other audiobooks he narrates.

Amazing performance

I love Agatha Christie’s books and have read those in my native language. I enjoyed Dan Steven’s narration and I hope there are more.

Gripping story- wonderful narrator

Dan Stevens, please narrate more books! I was especially impressed by how well he switched between a cast of around 15 distinct characters, all with different accents according to their nationalities- at least 5 different regional accents, in addition to the distinct personalities. I was a little disappointed when I bought my next Poirot novel off Audible and it had a different narrator!

This was my very first Poirot novel, and it's a classic for a reason! I especially like how it is structured so the reader has all the same information as the detective, so the story coming together at the end is much more exciting, as you can try to solve it alongside Poirot, and suddenly it all makes sense. And in a way I never guessed until nearly the end. Not like Holmes which often relies on "off-screen" facts to keep the reader in the dark.

A masterpiece of its genre.

Maybe her best book, beautifully performed. Wonderful to hear, even if you know the ending.
