This time, America's favorite senior citizen takes on thieves who've stolen her jewelry. Although it's not the first time they've targeted her small North Carolina town, Miss Julia vows to make it the last. Soon she and her posse rush to Palm Beach for some sun, sand, and a bizarre stakeout. But how can two elderly ladies, a boy, and a tipsy private eye outfox crafty criminals?

Ann B. Ross has a very special gift. I wish that Audible would get all of her books. My favorite is Miss Julia Hits the Road, but every Miss Julia book is awesome. Please take the time to check out Miss Julia. You won't be sorry you did!!!!
I have never enjoyed a Miss Julia book more! The story is very funny, but the narrator elevated it to hysterical. I laughed out loud through the whole book.
I have enjoyed all the Miss Julia books, but this is one I have listened to several times. It didn't bother me a bit that the characters were out of their usual setting. The story is so hysterically funny and the reader just couldn't be better! The best yet!!
Funny, southern, and unstoppable
This was the first Ms. Julia book. I couldn't turn it off. It was so funny, and well written. I couldn't wait to see what happened next.
Her speaking voice is very easy to listen to, and sounds exactly as I thought prim Ms. Julia would sound. There are no unnatural pauses, or obvious edits.
Ms. Julia's Jewelry is missing...the thieves better hope the cops find them first!
Please, please get the rest of this series!
I couldn't get beyond Chapter 5. The nasal sound of the narrator was just too difficult to listen to and the story line wasn't interesting enough to endure listening to her.
This was a fun read.
As the crew got more involved in their antics, I wanted to know their next step and to see if they were going to make it.
Cynthia Darlow was fantastic with all the characters. Being from the south, I could imagine women that talk like each character. Hard to pick a favorite.
I chose this book for a trip that took a couple of hours there and back. It did keep my interest and would be a good one to listen to in one sitting.
I like books that make me laugh and shake my head. This was one of those books. This was my first novel by the author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will get more of Miss Julia.
I've read several of this series in hardback and found them a hoot -- and a "feel good" fast read. This was well done, but moving it to resort Florida removed many of the special characters that give heart to the series. And it put Miss Julia's foibles at a disadvantage. Good, but not the best.
I find that the Miss Julia story lines do not change much. I have read every book in the series up to this book. I did not enjoy this one as much as the others, probably because most of the characters were on trips and basically were not in the story. I will definately continue to read this series.
The book is very funny and the narrator makes it even funnier. I could just see then racing around Florida looking for her stolden items. Want more books like this one.
