I am rarely seen without my headphones on and my iPod clipped on my waist. I love my books.

    "Great Series..."

Normally, I just stick with the authors that I am familiar with and love. I am a huge fan of Nelson DeMille, Lee Child, Vince Flynn and John Grisham. In between their books, I will try a new author, however I rarely invest in a new series. I started this series a few weeks ago because nothing new from my favorite authors was available. I started from the beginning and am now on book six. Mercy Falls is book five. I am sure that I will get them all because I am now invested in Cork and his family.

Something to be said about starting a series that has so many books already published, is that you can go from one book right on to the next without that long wait in between. I as so glad that I gave this author a chance. I am surprised that more people haven't purchased these books. I love them

    "Cliff Hanger!"
If you could sum up Mercy Falls in three words, what would they be?

    Great Minnesota Mystery!

What did you like best about this story?

This story, unlike the others before it, didn't wrap itself up in a neat bow at the end. It left you wanting more of the story. I couldn't wait to start the next in the series to see where it was leading.

Have you listened to any of David Chandler’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

David Chandler has come to be the voice of "Cork" for me. I love it!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

"Could hardly wait to listen to the next segment!"
What made the experience of listening to Mercy Falls the most enjoyable?

Every time I thought the story would conclude it took another twist. Krueger knows how to spin a yarn and keep you listening. Can hardly wait to start the sequel.

Retired CFO, Army wife, Mom of five, Grandma of six, two sons who served in combat, love to read books that reflect my values and faith, love mysteries, historical, military stories, and books that don't waste my time . . . if it doesn't have an ending that was worth the wait, I'm not a happy camper.

    "Cliff Hanger with Cork"

My husband and I love this series by William Kent Krueger and usually "save" them for a long road trip to visit one of our kids. This one was no exception. Mercy Falls is number five in the series, and by this time we have grown to know and love the characters, the territory and the Indian legends. Cork is always the good guy, and in this book, he is once again sheriff, a job he both loves and hates. The ending is a cliff hanger . . . and my husband and I don't think we will be able to wait for our drive back home to start book six.

    "Disappointed in the Ending"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Just started listening to this series. Have really liked up to this point. Liked this book and will listen to the next in series. But don't like books that become like a soap opera ending. If this proves to be a trend the next book in the series will be my last.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I like the twists that this series always takes.
