Publisher's summary

Myron hasn't heard from Terese Collins in years. Not since their affair ended with no explanation. There had been no contact since, so her call catches him off guard. She's in Paris, she says, in trouble, and only Myron can help. She tells him a sad story she's never before revealed: a good marriage, her struggles to get pregnant, the happiest moment of her life when her only child was born, the day everything she'd ever loved was taken from her. In the years since, Terese has had no contact with her ex-husband, until the phone call that brought her to Paris.

When she gets there he's been murdered, and she's a suspect. But then comes a startling piece of evidence that turns the entire case upside down, laying bare Terese's long-buried family secrets in a most shocking way and leaving Myron nowhere to turn for help. Caught in a foreign landscape where nothing is as it seems, he must tear apart the city - and eventually the globe - fighting for answers to unfathomable questions that will take Myron, and millions of Harlan Coben readers, where they have never gone before.

Action packed

Good story but a bit unrealistic considering Myron fought terrorists and won. I also like more Wyn.

As far as the narration Steven Weber is so much better than Harban Corbin but I so prefer Jonathon Marosz(??, narrator for the first several books. He seem to better distinguish the characters as intended and had more varied voice inflections.

Well Done Mystery

All the stories flawlessly merge at the end. The mystery is well done, and narration perfect. I have liked other Coben stories better, but this one is definitely worth a credit and your time.

Not Cobens best work, worth a credit though.

Pretty good book. I enjoyed it. I really love Winn and Myron. What a dynamic duo that pair is. I just wish Winn played a bigger role in these books.
I do recommend this book.

Good story. So so narration.

Original narrator of first 7 or so books was the best. This one’s is only fair. And he make Esperanza sound stupid. She’s not.

First review

Enjoyed the story plot. Hated the narration of Steve Weber! He made Marion sound like a kid! Horrible

Long Lost

Great book. So glad Steven Weber has taken over the narration of the Bolitar series. With the exception of Esperanza's voice, makes me laugh every time I hear it, Steven does an excellent job.

Disappointed in Narrator

Where is the narrator from the first books? So much more credible. He had the characters do well pegged. And what happened to the charming Esperanza? Her voice in this was awful, with none of the slight Latino accent.
Terrible performance!

Wonderful story, Poor performance

Love the story. I have read it previously and was looking forward to listening to it, but the narration was not good. This is a new narrator for the series and I am highly disappointed. One of the main characters of this novel was a minor character in the series previously and in this narration, the name is pronounced differently. (Terese vs Terez) Myrons parents sound stereotypical Jewish and it sounds almost patronizing and makes them seem inconsequential to his life, where that is not at all the role they play. They have smaller partson this book, but the tone is off. Lastly, Esperanza is made to sound very manish. Parts of the story where Win and Myron are speaking, it can be hard to tell who is who.

I love to firat read a book and then listen to it over and over. I have all of this series leading up to this book in Audio, and had planned to buy the rest, but now I am hesitating.
