Wonderful!

This book was wonderful. The twists and turns... I found myself rooting for the family and saying "good for you!" outloud as Laura overcame her obstacles. I enjoyed this book immensely and was sad when it ended. Would DEFINITELY recommend. NOTE: Don't try to pick apart this books scientific accuracy on time travel, it WILL give you a headache! PARADOX!! PARADOX!!

A Decent Read

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I loved Odd Thomas. I loved Watchers. So I looked for the highest rated Dean Koontz book on Audible. And this is it. So maybe I was just a little disappointed. It's an okay story but I don't think it is as good as the other two.

If you’ve listened to books by Dean Koontz before, how does this one compare?

Better than Forever Odd, but not as good as Watchers or Odd Thomas.

What does Christopher Lane bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He does a good job of reading the story.

Do you think Lightning needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, the characters covered the full spectrum.

Any additional comments?

I think my expectations were too high.

LIGHTNING

It was okay. Pretty drawn out. The last quarter of the book seem to drop off and loose it's mystery and intrigue like the writer just didn't know how to wrap it up.

Time Travel Delight

Interesting time travel story in which a 1940's Nazi good-guy does battle with the Nazi bad-guys using time travel to try to outsmart each other. They pop in and out of the 1980's and become involved in the life of our heroine, her family, and friends. Would like to see this made into a movie. Other than the idea that time travel was discovered by Nazis during WWII, it's pretty believable. A sort of Sarah Connor Chronicles type story with lots of plot twists. At times, a little hard to wrap your mind around, but pretty well explained as the plot unfolds. I liked the narrator.

LOVED it! Lightning

First of all I enjoy anything Dean Koontz! This may be my favorite. I took every opportunity to listen even if it was only for a few minutes. It was riveting! Suspenseful, sad, funny at times and ultimately two loves stories for Laura with never ending drama in her life. Love Loss strength courage and perseverance.

I would recommend this book to all my book loving friends and my audio books pal, my sister.
Now to download my next Dean Koontz book!

Excellent Content, Quality Koontz

The book lags a bit after the initial introductory chapters. But once you get past the characters back stories it begins to become page turning. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and the “PARADOXES “ that are brought to light. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good page-turner with a twist.
