Highly recommended
I read this book years ago and loved it. I wanted to reread it and chose to have Audible read it instead. This reading performance was amazing! The storyline was even better than I remembered. 5/5 stars all the way around. Highly recommended!

Wow
I’m a huge book fan—I read hundreds of books yearly, but I’m not really a “horror/thriller” fan, so somehow I’ve misunderstood Koontz for all these years. This book is fantastic (and now I have a new author’s library to read!) The reader’s performance enables the written text to transcend normal word conversion creating a non-stop unconscious video in one’s mind—no jarring slips or reading flaws noted—perfect.
If you are not an Audible fan, or not a Koontz fan, please give this book a try. It is one of the greatest examples on Audible—this book is a “best” example of audio-listening.
Hint to new listeners: if you struggle tracking audio stories, then slow it down to 0.8–slower speeds require less focus! Happy reading!

Extremely entertaining
This was a great time travel book with many twists. I enjoyed the humor woven through a story that involves murder. Don’t worry they were all bad guys.

One of my favorite Dean Koontz books
This is one my favorite Dean Koontz books - its merit comes from true mystery and suspense, rather than from the shock value of horror and supernatural events of his later works. Written in the later part of the 1980's, its content is still timely. I read it several times years ago and enjoyed my recent listen as much as I did my first read.

Superb supernatural suspense
A finely crafted novel of mind twisting jumps across time. Perhaps the best suspense ending I've heard. The increased pacing is masterful! And Koontz's language is always surprising, making the reader want to improve his own vocabulary. Excellent.
