Good listening!

I fully enjoyed listening to "Lightning". Dean Koontz, is on par with King, Straub, and other greats. This is a keeper. When I played it in my car with my teenage kids, they offered to pay for gas just to keep listening. They have been awakened to Dean Koontz through other down loads, Odd Thomas, Whispers, etc....and other writers too. When you can have the book in your lap, listening is just as good if not better!

twists and turns!

I loved this book! Twice! I read it many years ago and recently decided to listen to it. I loved it when I read it in the early 90s so much it was in everyones xmas stocking that year! I didnt think I would enjoy it so much listening to it but I had forgetten many parts and couldnt stop listening! every chance I had. I was not crazy about the inflection the reader gave to one of the characters but that was easily overlooked.

He’s done it again

I knew this was older book but it came highly recommended. I loved it. Wasn’t sure about the narrator at first but he ended up being terrific. The way he was able to move in and out of accents was beautifully done. Love it!

Engaging time travel story

This is probably one of the most thoughtful stories I've read from Koontz - or maybe from the other direction - this is one of the most thriller-like true time travel stories I've read.

Of course the writing style follows the Koontz thriller template, and the plot is structured around the thriller aspects, but the time travel story itself, and the way it asks questions, are true classic sci fi. This may be one of the more approachable time travel stories out there for people who typically don't read that sort of story.

Loved, Loved, Loved it!

Time travel and the paradoxes presented by it. Hardships and the love and friendships to endure them make this a great read!

One of the best mid-book surprises ever

Typical Koontz, great story, well-written and characters you root for. Hard to go wrong with this tale! Sweet plot-twist.
