Publisher's summary

#1 New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn is back with another nail-biting political thriller that follows the young Mitch Rapp on a deadly mission to hunt down the men responsible for the Pan Am Lockerbie terrorist attack.

For months, Mitch Rapp has been steadily working his way through a list of men, bullet by bullet. With each kill, the tangled network of monsters responsible for the slaughter of 270 civilians becomes increasingly clear. He is given his next target: a plump Libyan diplomat who is prone to drink and is currently in Paris without a single bodyguard.

Rapp finds him completely unprotected and asleep in his bed. With confidence in his well-honed skills and conviction of the man’s guilt, he easily sends a bullet into the man’s skull. But in the split second it takes the bullet to leave the silenced pistol, everything changes. The door to the hotel room is kicked open and gunfire erupts all around Rapp. In an instant the hunter has become the hunted. Rapp is left wounded and must flee for his life.

The next morning, the news breaks in Washington that Libya’s Oil Minister has been killed along with three innocent civilians and four unidentified men. The French authorities are certain that the gunman is wounded and on the loose in Paris. As the finger pointing begins, Rapp’s handlers have only one choice - deny any responsibility for the incident and pray that their newest secret weapon stays that way, avoiding capture and dying quietly. One person in the group, however, is not prone to leaving things to chance. Rapp has become a liability, and he absolutely cannot be allowed to be taken alive by the French authorities. But it will soon become clear that nothing is more dangerous than a wounded and cornered Mitch Rapp.

Mitch Rapp - survives against all odds

Would you consider the audio edition of Kill Shot to be better than the print version?

Audio books read by George Guidall are outstanding. The best reader I have ever heard in audio. I'll buy anything read by this man. He has the unique characteristic of making the book come alive and not just read.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mitch Rapp is one cool agent under direct enemy fire. How he survives in this book is a real page turner.

Which scene was your favorite?

THe hotel room where Mitch is under fire from a dozen or so heavily armed men who want to destroy his life in less than a minute.

Loved the plot!

Storyline was great! Loved the complicated plot.

The narrator read very well, but his voice was a bit lackluster.

As with these types of novels, profanity is included, yet this book seemed rife. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Ther fun continues.

Vince does it again. Mitch doesn't like being wounded. Any enemies, in the US or abroad have learned not to mess with him. Wonder what became of Victor. I suppose we'll never know.

Average story read by a very good performer

This book began fast and kept up the pace all along.

The Mitch Rapp character is growing in the books on this series. Irene and Stan are also showing growth in their characters.

I left the book not quite sure whether Stan was for or against Rapp.

Good story, good narration

I enjoyed the spy themed story. Fast paced action with a excellent matching voice to narrate it. Same narrator in books 1,2,5 and on. I could not listen to the horrible voice in book 3 and 4. They did not match the story.

Fantastic series with great hero - Mitch Rapp

This is the second Mitch Rapp book I have read. Both were narrated by George Guidall. Both are 5 star plus books in all areas. In this book Mitch Rapp has been set up and he doesn't know who to trust - his employers are all suspect. Most of this story takes place in Paris, France and Washington DC. Mitch is working his way down a hit list of horrible people. Some people have knowledge of the hit list and can figure out where Mitch will be for the next kill. Mitch is his usual amazing self - a talented killer, but a lovable one. He is able to get away even when in very tight places. The bad guys are really bad and I waited patiently for retribution to be served. That is one thing I believe I can count on in the Mitch Rapp series so far - the bad guys do not get away!!!

Guidall is an amazing narrator. He brings all the characters to life. Flynn has written really vivid characters and has placed them in a great story. I could not stop listening. Flynn and Guidall grab the listener and just won't let go until it is over. I highly recommend.
