Publisher's summary

#1 New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn is back with another nail-biting political thriller that follows the young Mitch Rapp on a deadly mission to hunt down the men responsible for the Pan Am Lockerbie terrorist attack.

For months, Mitch Rapp has been steadily working his way through a list of men, bullet by bullet. With each kill, the tangled network of monsters responsible for the slaughter of 270 civilians becomes increasingly clear. He is given his next target: a plump Libyan diplomat who is prone to drink and is currently in Paris without a single bodyguard.

Rapp finds him completely unprotected and asleep in his bed. With confidence in his well-honed skills and conviction of the man’s guilt, he easily sends a bullet into the man’s skull. But in the split second it takes the bullet to leave the silenced pistol, everything changes. The door to the hotel room is kicked open and gunfire erupts all around Rapp. In an instant the hunter has become the hunted. Rapp is left wounded and must flee for his life.

The next morning, the news breaks in Washington that Libya’s Oil Minister has been killed along with three innocent civilians and four unidentified men. The French authorities are certain that the gunman is wounded and on the loose in Paris. As the finger pointing begins, Rapp’s handlers have only one choice - deny any responsibility for the incident and pray that their newest secret weapon stays that way, avoiding capture and dying quietly. One person in the group, however, is not prone to leaving things to chance. Rapp has become a liability, and he absolutely cannot be allowed to be taken alive by the French authorities. But it will soon become clear that nothing is more dangerous than a wounded and cornered Mitch Rapp.

Fantastic!!

What did you love best about Kill Shot?

I've listened to many Mitch Rapp stories and I thought this might be more of the same and it was but it was better. Great story, fast moving, good character developement, great reader. I think this might be one of my favorite Mitch Rapp stories.

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

They are all great.

Solid

I'm a huge fan of Vince Flynn and the Mitch Rapp series. How Flynn managed to write a good book while battling cancer is a mystery and a testament to his talent and work ethic.

If you like a good thriller, you can't go wrong with Kill Shot.

Worst of the Mitch Rapp Series

What disappointed you about Kill Shot?

I'm a fan, have all his audiobooks, but was very disappointed in this effort. Taken as part of this awesome series this book seems like a rough draft put to print. The main characters don't jive with the other books. The plot was weak. This is a formula format that we as readers expect the author to follow to some respect. There were times I thought a different author was writing this addition it was so off. American Assassin was so good and this is as bad as that was good.

What could Vince Flynn have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Don't let your editors direct the creative process. If you are burnt out of this series then stop and do something else and then come back to it. I'll have a hard time buying another after this effort.

What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

George Guidall is probably the best in the business. He can turn a mediocre story into a good listen. The only reason I finished this book is due to Mr. Guidall.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

If you haven't listened to any other of the series and you liked this then they only get better.

awesome

have to say the second book is a lot better than the first one and that if they do decide to make a movie after this one they should definitely try not to butcher it

An exceptionally great book.

I have been a fan of this genre since the early days of Robert Ludlum (I know that dates me and that's ok). If you are a fan of spy novels than you will greatly appreciate and enjoy this book. I loved it.

Another Winner

Great story that will keep you rushing to the next chapter with superb narration. The characters personalities are beautifully developed by Vince Flynn who is one of, if not, the founding father of this genre.

Fantastic

Loved it.

Usually my reviews include something about wishing they had hired 2 voice actors: 1 male and 1 female. However, this narrator nails all tye characters in such a way that it never crossed my mind, which is saying something.

Great book and great narration.
