Publisher's summary

“A crackling addition to [the] Prey series” (Entertainment Weekly) from number one New York Times best-selling author John Sandford.

In a wealthy Minneapolis neighborhood, two elderly women are bludgeoned to death. They are apparent victims of a random robbery, though nothing of value appears to have been stolen. But when Lucas Davenport looks deeper, he fears that the victims weren’t so random, and the items stolen were far from invaluable. As a pattern emerges it leads Lucas to...certainly not where he expected. Which is too bad, because the killers are expecting him. And that’s only the first surprise….

Very convoluted but interesting

Enjoyable story in the series of John Stanford’s murder/crime drama efforts. Character development is always a solid foundation to his work and this book is no exception. Highly recommended.

One of the best Davenport books

This is one of the best Lucas Davenport tales. I just hate it when the last line is spoken because now I have to wait for another book. Great book with a lot of complexities as usual.

Invisible Prey

As always John Sanford delivers a great story. Am enjoying listening to these stories from the start of the series.

A Very Good Listen

As with all the Prey books, this one was suspenseful and held my attention throughout. I was not impressed with the reader however. His inability to alter his voice for different characters was distracting.
His female voice alteration sounded like Kermit the Frog with a bad cold.

Great!

I really love these books. This was just as good as every other. Great characters and the plots work well.

Richard Ferrone always does a bang up job.

Becoming a Fan

I have only read a couple of the Lucas Davenport novels, but am quickly becoming a fan. Especially after listening to Invisible Prey. I liked the charactors and the twists and turns of the plot. The book didn't appear to be just a carbon copy of previous novels in the series. I look forward to the next book.

Invisible Prey (unabridged)

Loved it--it was my introduction to Lucas Devenport and Sandford's works. Since this one I have read or listened to the entire Devenport series. Well plotted with interesting lead characters. Good stories with excellent local color and description provided.

My First Lucas- wow!

This is a great story. So full of rich characters and crazy turns of events. And of course Virgil Flowers sprinkled in here and there. A great read even when you haven't read the 16 that preceded it.

Another creepy villain!

If you could sum up Invisible Prey in three words, what would they be?

Gasping, breath-holder

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lucas Davenport -- he felt bad about Gabriella and wouldn't let go. And, he drives that Porche.

What does Richard Ferrone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Richard Ferrone reads these stories and you don't listen thinking, that's Richard Ferrone. He has the ability to give each character an individual personality. Sometimes it's amazing.
