predjuice against Chiropractic disgraceful.

Not the worst Robin Cook book I have read, but close. His obvious bias against Chiropractic profession shows through loudly. A great deal of time spent on lives lost using alternative treatments in lieu of western medicine, but no mention of the nearly 500,000+ lives lost each year due to medical error. Story is disjointed, criticizes alternative healing methods, but in the end flies his son to Israel to have Palestinian woman lay hands on and pray for infant son. Not believable, don't waste your time or money.

not a medical thriller

I usually enjoy Robin Cook's books, but this one is boring. It lacks focus, the "intrigue" is very flat, there is little narrative drive and the ending is unsatisfying. Overall, a disappointment.

Disappointing

I usually love the Jack Stapleton series but this one was a dud. The side story took up 75% of the book.

ROBIN COOK'S WORST

So bad I took the time too find out his age thinking he's gone around the bend. Maybe a cheap ghostwriter? Not what one would expect from the #1 medical thriller writer. This is the last Robin Cook for me.

A waste of talent-where is Robin Cook?

It was a dark and stormy night...In the Sistine chapel Dan Brown has kidnapped Robin Cook, a bomb at his feet is lettered with INTERVENTION..meanwhile black robed monks are fighting to get into the chapel with chiropracters disguised as priests they all have cigarettes to light the fuse....meanwhile the Pope is sitting with Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum and find Ms scarlet is really a Palestinian faith healer..meanwhile in Cairo the shopkeeper has been stabbed numerous times by persons unknown because he started the whole mess..meanwhile DNA is found all over New York...meanwhile...was that Tom Hanks?...to be continued....

Worst book I've aquired from audible

I have over 300 books in my audible library. There are only two that I didn't finish. I wish this had been the third. There were several (odd) different story lines that barely intersected, and there was no ending to speak of. Wish I could have that credit back...

Intervention

By far the worst Robin Cook book I have read. I kept waiting for the storylines to somehow connect but they never really do. Also, the ending made no sense at all. None of the issues were resolved. A wasted Credit!

By far the WORST book I have read in years

At least 3 divergent sub plots, and not a single plotline in the book is resolved. Excessive explanations of technical issues, weak relationships between characters. Wierd sexual scenes that approach bizarre. Constant tension in a very negative way, several of the characters are very unhappy and close to bitter. There is no way that anyone would buy this book if it did not have an author who once wrote a good book. Robin Cook should be ashamed, and Audible should seriously consider refunding the credit for those who bought it. I kept listening hoping it would improve, otherwise I would have dumped it sooner. PURE GARBAGE!!!!

Poor Showing for Mr. Cook

The narrator was good, the story was poorly constructed. This book reads like two incomplete stories mashed together to make the deadline. I normally love Mr Cooks novels, but his one left me cold. I struggled to finish the book as the characters and their development were not relatable. Even the main character Jack comes across like a spoiled rotten child. All in all, the jumping narrative between 2 storylines doesn't get better just because the main character just HAPPENS to know a preeminent archeologist & the Bishop of New York. This is the 2nd book I've read with the Jack as the protagonist; I won't be reading another.
