Never a dull moment.

A great listen in a really fine futuristic police procedural as Eve Dallas, Roarke, Peabody, Feeney and McNab chase a murdering rapist Santa Claus during the Christmas holidays. Susan Ericksen as narrator does justice to the voices of the above crew as well as all the secondary characters. A treat to listen to a book I have read more than once over the years.

Leaves you guessing right to the end

Just one more great novel from JD Robb, this one had me guessing "who " right till the end. Though the story did drag a bit , I still love all of this series!

Love Eve Dallas

I am have listened to books 1 thru 7.5 and am not sick of this story line at all. I love Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her million +dollar husband Roarke. Cannot wait for more. Good thing JD Robb (Nora Roberts) keeps 'em coming!

Christmas themed!

We once again have the brave Eve Dallas and her aide Peabody working on a murder, just before Christmas. This murderer rapes his victims after showing up at their homes in a Santa suit. After he rapes and strangles them, he decorates the bodies with tinsel and makeup and leaves behind a piece of jewelry. The killers theme is the 12 days of Christmas, so this puts our Lieutenant in a hurry to stop basically a murder a day. The author builds more on Eve and Peabody’s relationship beyond work. Also, we see more of McNabb, Feeney and Nadine. Eve isalso trying to find a gift for the wealthiest man in the known universe, so her stress level is high. Narration was great!

Love this series!

Great series and easy listen.! It’s hard to imagine these books were written in the late 1990s.

Great series

There have been but a few series I was totally involved with and right now this is the only one still bringing new ones to print. I don’t get surprised often but the characters are old friends and the reader’s voice is familiar and you never have to wonder who’s talking, as she is excellent at giving every character their voice. If you like police procedural mysteries, these are for you!
