Bobby's only lead is wrapped around a dead woman's neck. Annabelle Granger's childhood was a blur of new cities and assumed identities. But what or who her family was running from, she never knew. Now a body is unearthed from a grave, wearing a necklace bearing Annabelle's name, and the danger is too close to escape.
Dodge knows he must solve the mystery of Annabelle Granger, and to do that, he must team up with his former lover, partner, and friend D. D. Warren from the Boston P.D.
From its beginning to its shocking climax, Hide is a thriller that delves into our deepest, darkest fears - where there is no one to trust, where there is no place left to hide.

This is a really great book with lots of twists and turns. It definitely keeps you guessing. I just loved it. The narration was darn good too. Get this one!
I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book. It was a white-knuckler right up to the end, filled with evil villains by the bushel. The background stories by Charlie as well as by Christian's parents were fascinating and added to the suspense. The author's pace and tone were excellent as were the characterizations, particularly that of the emotionally wounded Annabelle.
This was my second book about Bobby and his cohorts and their characters were well-written as usual and it was good to see Catherine again.
Although I saw one of the resolutions coming, the final confrontation between Annabelle and her nemesis caught me by surprise because I didn't expect it to be placed where it was in the story. This particular scene was so explicitly written that I felt as though I was there punching, kicking and dodging right along with the heroine.
Great job, Lisa.
It's a sad commentary on our society that we tossed these people out on the street and left them to survive the best way they could.
I thought the book was good but could have used more suspence. She webbed a story that you couldn't escape, yet, was a bit full of holes. All in all, worth reading.
Hide is great entertainment. The plot is original, the characters are interesting, and this book held my interst all the way through to the end. The narrator did an excellent job. Her style and tone were perfect for each character. It took me a few minutes to get used to her style, but during the initial "first person" segment of the book, it became apparent that she narrated exactly like the main character would tell the story. the changes from character to character were subtle, but right on target. this was excellent, with regard to both the story and the narration.
This was a somewhat fun mystery in that it's a little ridiculous, but entertaining. One thing that bugs me is the stereotypical elements: grave discovered near asylum, angry chick, beautiful girl. I hate when an author describes how beautiful she is, instead of letting the story unfold showing us a clearer picture along the way. So I guess I think the story is a bit spoon fed. That said, not a bad mystery or story, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
Don't you just love a great story well told?
After the discovery of the mummified bodies I felt so sorry for the innocent poor girl protagonist whose seemingly paranoid father keeps moving the family constantly changing their names and identities. It is a great premise. It does keep you guessing and listening to see: Is the father protective or the guilty one? Does the plot have holes? Sure, nearly any story will if you look hard enough. Unfortunately the situation doesn't let the girl/woman get any revenge for all her grief because for the book to work you must be left guessing until the very end. Without my so called Counter Punches (so you can root for your hero and which is why detective style stories by making the guilty party nervous) any story can become a long tale of woe which reduces the entertainment value which it did for me.
Lisa Gardner is a good writer. She puts lot's of twists and turns that keep you guessing. I also like how she puts that touch of intense sexual attraction in each of ther books.
Very good story, I have never been disapointed by Lisa Gardner, very good author. I also thought the narrator was very good. This was my first audio book, I think I am hooked. Thanks, Donna O
