Terrible narrator

The narrator read in a monotone. She sounded like she'd just learned to read! Like she didn't recognize the word but had to pronounce it phonetically. It was all I could do to make it through the whole book.

Narration Distracted from the Story

I didn't think I would make it through this narration. I was going to say it sounded like a computer reading but I think it was worse than that. I am a fan of Kendra Elliot and want to listen to the other books in the series, which have a different narrator, so I kept going. The lack of emotion in the reading was really distracting from the story. This one would have been a better read than listen.

Chilling

Jack was a wonderful hero in over his head. Luckily he has a wingman waiting to aid him when he’s most needed. Look forward to more in the series.

Great book. Disnr want to put it down

Another great book. Kendra knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat. I love how she put Lucy with Jack. I would have never guessed it would have ended that way.

Excellent!

Well written and almost as well performed, this was a thrilling romance mystery.

Lots of heat with only a tastefully written sex scene or two.

I got it with kindle unlimited audio but it would have been worth the credit!

Hidden

I discovered this authors more recent books and read her newer series and now am going back and picking up on the older series. YAY me! This one starts with Lacey Campbell, a forensic odontologist who when she was in college was an elite gymnist who barely escaped an abduction though her friend didn't and is still missing. She is called out to a site when bones are discovered and also unearth with those bones are a police badge and a necklace. The necklace she recognizes as the one her friend was wearing. This story has so many twists and turns and back story that develops throughout. What I found intriguing was characters introduced in this book are prominent in later series so hang on they do recur. Lots of questions, twists, misdirections, and even a little romance added in to keep this one moving. Definitely going to keep going on this series.

My favorite scene is when Mercy realizes that she is seeing her niece for the first time.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

My favorite moment is when they talked through the "prior situation".

I really enjoyed getting an understanding of the prepper community.

I loved every second of this story couldn't wait to hear more some of the best detail I have ever experienced

The First Two Thirds Were Good

What did you like best about Hidden? What did you like least?

It had a good start, but toward the end the same scene was shown from the perspective of 5 or 6 characters, even very minor ones, and it felt extremely repetitive and even boring, although it was the big climax.
