Publisher's summary

Hidden is the first book in Bone Secrets, the multimillion-copy bestselling series.

Eleven years ago, the Co-ed Slayer murdered nine female students on the Oregon State University campus. Lacey Campbell barely escaped his attack, but lost her best friend whose remains were never found. As the sole surviving victim, Lacey helped send the sadistic serial killer to prison for life.

Now a forensic odontologist examining teeth and bones for the state Medical Examiner, Lacey is devastated when she arrives at a crime scene and identifies the skeletal remains as her college friend’s.

The remains are discovered on the land of ex-cop Jack Harper. Sparks fly between him and Lacey, even as they realize that the prosecution’s witnesses from a decade ago are now being murdered one by one. All the evidence points to the Co-ed Slayer as the culprit—only, he’s long since dead. So who’s the new killer? And is Lacey next in line to die?

Golden Heart finalist Kendra Elliot combines chilling suspense and steamy romance in a gripping tale, uniting in-depth forensic knowledge with a passion for thrillers. Set in the snowy winter of Oregon, Hidden creates spine-tingling chills.

Excellent story,excellent writing,excellent narration!

A story you might hear on the six o'clock news, Very believable . Written so well the characters seem alive . Yet the story is never dull or predictable . Well done!

Enjoyable, but...

I am always on the lookout for a new series to read/listen to. This looked promising, so I gave it a whirl. The narrator was a bit of a struggle to get used to. Pleasant voice, but very, VERY deliberate enunciation. This lead to a lack of emotion in my opinion, so when she was reading from the main character's point of view, it was less of a POV and more of a narration (if that makes any sense).

The story was pretty good, and I appreciated that there were secrets to uncover throughout.
The thing is, it left me satisfied, but that's not a good thing. It wrapped up nicely so I wasn't left wanting, which was nice - BUT there are apparently several in this series, and I wasn't moved to continue listening once I finished this one.

Unfortunately I think if the narration had been better, I might have kept going. The only bad thing about listening instead of reading on my own - the narrator can KILL a story for me. And while this one didn't kill, it certainly pushed it around until I was just "meh" about the whole thing.

Looking forward to 4.5 more ebooks with Audible's

I loved the Mercy series and I am so happy to be able to read another fantastic series by Kendra Elliot. This one had me holding my breath during the MANY traumatic scenes. Looking forward to book three to see what happened to Michael and Sam. Only question I have is what happened to Lacey's cat?

Lots of twists & turns

Good characters that have trouble keeping themselves out of harms way. Good read for a suspense.

This story has that "love at first sight" theme all throughout which is a bit much. Even though, it's still worth the read.

Very good narration!!

This is an excellent story and narration. The characters are so well drawn and the story is full of mystery and suspense. My only problem is personal to me - I really cannot stand the swearing. I can deal with the F-word but not taking the Lord's name in vain. Wish there was a way I could edit that out.

Narration hurts more than helps

The writing is simple and predictable and verges on Romance Novel territory. And the narrator reads in an overly sweet, gentle voice suitable more for reading children's books and with a halting pattern that was distracting. I had a hard time finishing this one.
