Can't listen to this narrating performance

Can't listen to this narrating performance, story may be worth listening though. Audio quality is really bad.

Enjoyed this story!

This was my first audio book and I loved it! Cute story too! Maybe I'll get the other Richard Castle books now! I also enjoyed the reader's voice.

NOT AS GOOD AS THE SHOW!!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I like the character of Kate Beckett much more than Nikki Heat. Kat is more weiter & the chemistry between the two is way better.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I was disappointed with the lack of action in the story. Plus, the story was really in depth that I had problems completely following.

What aspect of Johnny Heller’s performance would you have changed?

At times it was hard to tell what character he was performing because they all sounded a lot alike, especially Nikki & Rook.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I LOVE THE SHOW SO YES, YES, YES!!

Great if you watch Castle.

If you could sum up Heat Wave in three words, what would they be?

Follows earliest episodes.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Not really, I watched the show so I figured it out. I love the characters so I don't need a mystery as much as I lke to see them work.

Which character – as performed by Johnny Heller – was your favorite?

Rook, of course.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A buddy movie where they are in love.

Narrator ruined the story

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I loved the story - but am not sure I can listen to another one with the same narrator. He is just not suited to a mystery!!

Would you be willing to try another book from Richard Castle? Why or why not?

Yes- I liked the story

How could the performance have been better?

A different narrator

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Maybe

I'm a Castle Fan but Didn't Love the Book

Although I am a Castle fan the book was just okay to me. It felt too similar to the show (I guess that's what I should have expected.) But save your money and just purchase another episode of Castle.

A great way to pass a cold afternoon

"Richard Castle" brings the wit and charm of the TV series to this book. Any an of the series should read this book just for the inside jokes that go with it.

About what I expected

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I picked up this book because I am a fan of the associated television show "Castle." Like the show, it's an easy story to get into and doesn't require a whole lot of critical thinking. It wasn't a stellar book but I wasn't expecting it to be. It has some subtle and not-so-subtle references to the TV show and it's fun to try to associate events in the books to events on the show.

All in all, it's a fun book for fans of "Castle" but otherwise just another cookie-cutter mystery.
