Such A Great Series!

Butcher’s writing is amazing. The reader of the book is masterful. We listen to these books as we travel. They are a great way to pass time and be entertained too! The Dresden Files are one of our favorite fiction/fantasy books!

Better and better

As a writer a seriously hope I improve as well as Butcher does from first novel to third. He finds Harry’s voice in this book and it’s great.

Great character and world building

I really felt like in this third book we got to know the characters on a different level which added to the story. Apart from the misused thee's, thou's, and thine's; I thought this was a very good book. That last sentence really hit me in the gut.

Harry Dresden rocks!

I am completely hooked on this series. I first heard of Dresden through a television show called The Dresden Files, which, while I enjoyed the characters of Dresden and Bob, I felt that the rest of the show was a little two-dimensional. The books, however, are much more rounded with excellent character development. James Marsters' narration is excellent as well.

Now Butcher hits his stride.

From here out the author has hit his stride. The stories and characters are top notch. I love Harry's evil faery God-mother. That means a lot as I normally despise and shun any books with faeries. The fact I actually like them and they are some of my favorite characters in Butcher's work says a lot for his skills. Great author and narrartor. You can't go wrong with this series.

Good Greeef !!!

This was a great Audio book and a fantastic Narrator. I was hooked on the book after the first 20 min. Great story line ( all tho a little long) and the narrator read with passion and excitement, great rendition.

Drink some water!!

What did you love best about Grave Peril?

My son and I love this series, the story keeps you entertained and the character build is fantastic. That said.. as much as I want to buy the next book to listen at work, I can't take any more of the disgusting mouth noises the narrator makes. I have listened to more than a few audio books now and this is the first time I have had to turn down the volume just to try to avoid the sounds of the narrator gulping for air and swishing saliva around in his mouth. It's unfortunate because I think he has a great voice for this kind of thing, I just don't understand why he has to make those noises. I'm not the first one to comment on this and I won't be the last. I will just buy the next book and read it because I love the story.

Good book and great story.

I just wish Harry could have something good happen. He always ends up being sad and depressed. P
