Nice Change of Scenery
This is the first book I have read or listened to from Andrew Peterson. I have enjoyed Dick Hill's naration for other authors so figured I would give it a shot.
For a new autor and set of characters, I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, and character development in the book. It has a slight "24" feel to it, if you are/were a fan of the show this book is right up your alley
Only negative was I thought the plot was a tad predictible at times and I thought the ending was a little rushed.
All that being said great book, interesting and engaging characters and another fantastic naration by Dick Hill (he does one of the best jobs on different characters voices and inflections!!)

Could be a Good Book
This could have been a great book; however, the narrator (Dick Hill) absolutely ruined it. Every character sounded like a tongueless drunk sucking on a jolly rancher. It was completely and utterly unbearable to listen to. Please, Dick, find another profession.

Good book. Grand effort by reader, but......
that yankee accent is like fingernails on a chalkboard.
If that's not a problem for you the reader gives an obviously sincere and serious effort to deliver the story as a performance and more than just narrative. If he would just quit talking through his nose...

Good Action, Interesting Twists
A very good story that kept me entertained! Lots of action and plot twists. There were a few storylines that didn't go anywhere, but maybe the author was thinking about a sequel.
