Loved it

What a buy for $4.99, sometimes you get a lucky book. I loved the dry humor. I wonder why we Americans cannot seem to find that delicate balance. I will keep searching.

A little bit of the Traveler culture with interesting peripheral characters. Not at all predictable, the book jacket is an accurate description of the story line without giving away the depth of the real story.

Well written, as perfect a narrator as could be imagined, interesting storyline.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Falling Glass?

The ending kept me hooked until the last sentence. I will certainly now be buying other books by Adrian McKinty.

Which character ??? as performed by Gerard Doyle ??? was your favorite?

I am/was unfamiliar with Irish brogue and therefore found many words that were new to me. It took a few minutes to get into the story due to the unfamiliar words but I soon settled in for the ride. And what a fascinating story it was.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I can only think of three of four narrators who can be said to be the perfect voice for a character and I now consider Gerard Doyle to be one of them. Only he can be the voice of Killian.

I have listened to many hundreds of books over the years as a truck driver and this is my first review. I felt obliged to make a comment because I got so much out of this book.
Adrian McKinty is an excellent story teller. I was afraid for Killian when he was in danger and I laughed at his dry wit. Good story. This was my first experience with this author but I definitely will be listening to more of his books.

Probably not. I never listen to books or read books twice.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Absolutely

What about Gerard Doyle’s performance did you like?

First rate. He is one of my favorite narrators. Captures the subtle differences in Irish accents without overdoing the drama.

I love Adrian McKinty. His books can be gritty and certainly "R" rated but they are worth the read just about every time.

well written

I enjoyed the way the author Adrian McKinty described the characters and the landscapes. He used humor where it was very welcome, yet there are some descriptions that are very graphic, but needed to portray the scene and people involved. I liked the story. Gerard Doyle, the reader, did an exceptionally good job with various accents. I recommend this book to those who like thriller/mysteries.

Great story

Really enjoyed the story and reader. I'm planning to listen to more by this author. A lot of Irish terminology that I wasn't familiar with but it wasn't hard to follow.

Just couldn't make it...

I love the Sean Duffy books McKinty wrote, but I could not get all the way through this one. I just did not care about the plot or the characters. May have been the mood I was in, but not entirely. Not enough here to keep me interested.

I always enjoy Adrian McKinty's stories. He is a wonderful storyteller in the true Irish tradition.

Slow Starter but picks up

Being a fan of previous McKinty books I was excited to read this. It was a bit of a slow start and a bit confusing-going back and forth to different locations. BUT the story picks up and become involved in the characters. You wind up really rooting in the end. Glad I read it. And of course Gerald Doyle is the best, really has the characters down pat.
