Who am I?

My name is Christy Snow. I'm 17 and I'm about to die. I'm buried in a coffin under tons of concrete. No one knows where I am. My heart sounds like a monster with clobber feet, running straight toward me.

I'm lying on my back, soaked with sweat from the hair on my head to the soles of my feet. My hands and feet won't stop shaking. Some will say that I'm not really here. Some will say I'm delusional. Some will say that I don t even exist. But who are they? I'm the one buried in a grave.

My name is Christy Snow. I'm 17. I'm about to die.

So who are you?

In a return to the kind of storytelling that made Black, Showdown and Three unforgettable, Ted Dekker drags that question into the light with this modern day parable about how we see ourselves. Humming with intensity and blindsided twists, Eyes Wide Open is raw adrenaline from the first page to the last pure escapism packed with inescapable truth. Not all is as it seems. Or is it? Strap yourself in for the ride of your life. Literally.

Beautiful Story

Ted is an amazing storyteller. Always a little terrifying because of its truth. Always pointing to the Only One Who can truly save us from ourselves. Thank you.

Fabulous

Ok, I loved this! The suspense and story, fantastic!

But really, is the cat ok?? Just saying, some small mention would have put this animal lover at ease; 10 days is a long time.

Loved this book, onto something else by TD.

Great start..........weak finish

What did you love best about Eyes Wide Open?

The first half of the book has a person on the edge of their seat. You can feel the emotions of the characters.

Would you recommend Eyes Wide Open to your friends? Why or why not?

I would reccomend with the hesitation that the end is a little disappointing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Great story

A mystery, a message and allegory. All these are within the complex story. Love that the author read it-- just made it that much better!!

captivating and intriguing

Ted does it again. a great easy read/ listen. The narrator's choice is a bit too soothing in places, but still a great listen!

Disappointed

After listening to many of his novels, I am so disappointed with this one. The performance was far better than the content.

errors in the recording

this was a really good narrator, but the recording was wonky. several times things were repeated that had just been said and there were a couple other weird things with the sound but not the narrator. good book though. love me some Ted Dekker

Good story, but…Audio is full of errors

Ted Dekker is a masterful story teller. This was no exception. Unfortunately it was a poor performance of it. The audio version of this had many errors including the narrator reading the same thing twice with different tones and clearing his throat. The volume and audio quality was also inconsistent.
