Not his best.

I didn't care for this book. Probably the first of his that I didn't like. Struggled to follow the characters with the narrator. Had a hard time finishing it.

Great story. The characters really drew you into the storyline. I’ve always been a Baldacci fan.

The first 90% of the story was good the last 10% was not well done

The ending of the book was really really weak I think an eighth grader could’ve done a better job on the end of the book

Enjoy each novel Baldacci writes. Very all consuming.

Excellent book...until the ending....stupid ending

I liked the story. The ending was just not good. Shaw deserves better than that.

shaw accidentally teams up

I enjoyed this shaw story and really like the character. the new team involved is an engaging part of the story too, but I'd rather just have shaw kick ass. the Villian is a plus.

Too violent for me.

I am a fan of Mr. Baldacci's books, they are so different, and love the mini series, but this one went over the top for me in violence, and cruelty.

Where does Deliver Us from Evil rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's right up at the top and my Audible library has over 200 books in it!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Most definitely. The book is read in just over 14 hours and I listened until it reached the end, in just two days. From the very beginning the pace was incredibly fast, the plot was nervously compelling and Mr. McLarty delivered, with, to borrow a couple of words from the author, "spot on" narration.

Which scene was your favorite?

Without giving away the ending, the final few chapters made me weep. While I can't describe that experience as a "favorite", my response simply indicates how powerfully written and read this book is.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would have loved to but my husband had to have dinner (LOL). That and a few other things prevented me from doing so, but I did finish it in just two days!

Any additional comments?

It is definitely one of my all time favorite books. I now have 20 books by David Baldacci in my Audible library and I have several hundred books in my home library - all of that is to say I am an avid reader and this book really stands out. Mr. Baldacci has outdone himself as has Mr. McLarty! If you enjoy fast paced, believable story lines and truly entertaining novels, do yourself a favor and add this to your library.
