Publisher's summary

Aidan Flynn, a private investigator and eldest of the Flynn brothers, scoffs at the haunted-house rumors - especially since Kendall Montgomery, a tarot card reader who has been living in the mansion, is the one to tell him the tale of a woman in white. But when he finds a human bone on the grounds and another by the river, Aidan delves into the dark history of the Flynn plantation.

Forced together to uncover the truth, Aidan and Kendall realize that a serial killer whose victims seem to vanish into thin air has long been at work...and that their own fates are about to be sealed forever unless they believe in the unbelievable.

Another really good read from H. Graham

What made the experience of listening to Deadly Night the most enjoyable?

As always Heather Graham writes about interesting places and people. This was a good mystery and had all the usual suspects including the ghost running for cover. Hot lead too. you will not want to miss the Flynn brothers.

It's okay...not my favorite

I am a big fan of Heather's writing. This book disappointed me some. It's not one of my favorites.

Fast read

Wonderful sweet story. Great for a quickie mystery romance. No heavy plot. Great narration. One sex scene but not very long. Could listen with kids if you skip that scene.

Reliable as a plow horse

Fun piece of fluff. No big gasp moments or unexpected twists but fun never the less.

Loved this. Need book 2!!!

This book reminded me of something Karen Rose would write.
The story line is an almost even split between romance and tension and on the other side murder and mayhem.

I loved it. The characters are well formed and grow well throughout the story. The mystery and mayhem keeps you glued to the book and the result is nice and tidy.

I loved the setting and the author did an amazing job with world building.

I will definitely read the next book in this series and I suspect that this author now has a new fan.

Will read series

This is my first Heather Graham download and I have to say, I really enjoyed this audio book. It has mystery, romance, *ghosts*, interesting characters and some twists and turns. The sexy, cranky Aidan Flynn and his two brothers Jeffrey and Zach inherit a plantation in New Orleans from an aunt they never met. In fact they never knew she even existed until they learn of their inheritance. Kendall Montgomery was the caregiver and companion in the last months of Aidan's aunt's life. Kendall stays in the house even after the aunt's death. She and Aidan at first do not like each other. They don't trust each other. Aiden thinks she has ulterior motives and Kendall does not understand how Aiden never knew he had this wonderful aunt that left him her plantation. After they get over each other, they are all over each other, sparks fly and they start a romantic relationship and begin solving a serial murder mystery together. This is a super enjoyable listen. I love mysteries, especially that take place in the south. I will be downloading book 2.

Great story

Loved this story and the history. But Author needs to work on a better woman’s voice otherwise he did good.

Nice murder mystery

It was a nice murder mystery. Enjoyable. Very little gore. Want thrilled with the girl voices by the reader but was at least consistent. Not bad for a first book.

Good book not the best but good

I enjoyed the story line but the relationship between the main characters seems quick and he is not so well developed

5 stars for deadly night

Though 5 stars are not something I give out often, this story checked all the boxes for me to allow for the perfect score. though the story was not without its flaws--namely, the rushed ending--the flaws mentioned earlier were minor enough to overlook. The gothic atmosphere and civil war past blended to make a masterful ghost story. The police procedural plot added to the intrigue and horror. The narrator (another flaw...the female voices sounded like drag queens) kept the suspense going with a tense read.
