Jumps in time too much!

Love the series but this one is hard to follow because it keeps jumping in time from before the wedding to after then back and forth many times. The transitions are not well defined and it takes away from an otherwise good story figuring out pre or post wedding action.

Great book!

Any additional comments?

I was thrilled to see Victoria Laurie's new book! Even though the previous one in the series was not the best, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I recommend reading these books in order, to get a better sense of the environment and the characters. If you like the first few books, you will like this one.

I couldn't stop listening!

What did you love best about Deadly Forecast?

I particularly appreciated a scene that was both romantic and terrifying at the same time. There is no doubt left as to the extremes the main couple would go to for each other.

What other book might you compare Deadly Forecast to and why?

All of Victoria Laurie's books are my favorites, but this one might just edge out the others.

Have you listened to any of Elizabeth Michaels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have read all of Victoria Laurie's books.

Abby and Dutch are finally ........

Action packed lots of friends join in to help Abby make it down the isle- the question is is Abby ready for her sisters help and is she ready to put her abilities on the back burner to say I do? Action packed well written and worth the credit! I would suggest reading the seasons in order.

I can't believe it's not butter!

In this book of the Psychic Eye Mystery Series we are taken on another emotional, on-the-edge-of-my-seat ride, that can only be described as about intense as book 9 Vision Impossible! Abby Cooper is at it again, trying her best to save her man Dutch from an unknown danger, and solve a case before her wedding day. WHEW, right!

This is it! We are counting down the days 'til the big day, with Abby and Dutch pressed for time. The house Dave is building them will be done not a moment too soon. They'll be able to move in one day before the wedding, which is also when their lease is up at their current rental house. Dutch is still working on the suicide bombing case that Abby passed on in the last book because of the awful feeling it gave her! Dutch and his team are no closer to finding out who is behind this now then he was when he first started. Abby is still getting the "Dutch is going to die from this case" feeling from the ether, and with the wedding coming up she has no choice but to step in and help, despite her fears.

The writing style the author used in this book was a completely new direction, and I loved it! One moment we were in the here and now with the story, the next we were in the future (to be exact the wedding day), and watching the horrible events after they unfolded, but still not sure who did it! MJ Holiday, and Gilley from the author's other fangtastic series Ghost Hunter Mystery arrive as guests at the wedding, and play an intricate roll in helping with the case! It was so awesome to have both Abby and MJ together!!

The constant miscommunication between Abby and Dutch in this book was really getting to me. I wasn't sure for most of the book if Abby even really wanted to marry Dutch! I couldn't figure out what her deal was until the very end. It was so simple, I felt really dumb when I realized. Abby's sister Cat rears her ugly mug in the story with her ridiculous demands from Abby, which only heightens Abby's reluctance about the wedding and staying NOT MRS. RIVERS! Oh lord! That whole conversation was just too much, but I must say that if it weren't for Candace and her excellent best-friend-listening-skills, Abby would have screwed up the whole thing! I do have to give Cat credit for one thing though, SHE DID NOT INVITE HER PARENTS!

Overall this book was fangtastic! I loved the drama, action, suspense, romance, and most of all Abby Cooper!

Narrator Review

Elizabeth Michaels is the narrator for this series thus far and is superliciouslywonderful as well! I am seriously running out of awesome things to say about her, but she is a wonderful performer. Her Bogart impression sucks, but it brings a smile to my face, and charm to the character. So all I have to say to Elizabeth is keep on doing what you're doing because it is perfect.

Still good but not the best in this series

This story is a bit different than the others and took some getting used to. Instead of always being told from Abby's POV, it switches around now and then. While I think this was a good way of telling this story, especially the parts where Abby was not present (and therefore could not narrate...), it did take some getting used to. By halfway through I was totally engrossed and the shifting around no longer caught my attention, and I could focus solely on the story.

Ms. Michaels turned in another excellent performance; she gets four stars this time (instead of her usual 5) because she changed a few of the characters' voices (Bryce's in particular) and I don't like the new ones as well. Still she is easy to listen to and does a fantastic job distinguishing among the many characters.

Overall, this book is a good one in a great series. I've already started the next.

Splendid!

The storyline had me interested through the whole time. Victoria Laurie is an exceptional authoress. To pair it with a narrator like Elizabeth Michaels is the cherry on top! In my minds eye I believe this duo has something special betwix the two. I love this series ❣️

Still love Abby, narrator not so much..

What made the experience of listening to Deadly Forecast the most enjoyable?

I really love series, its nice to get to know your characters and see the story evolve from book to book.

What didn’t you like about Elizabeth Michaels’s performance?

She does not do a good job as Abby and her voice inflection for the other characters leaves a lot to be desired. Every time Brice Harrison had a line i cringed because she made him sound like a weasel, not the Assistant Special Agent in Charge. I feel bad saying it but she is not the best choice for this series, a different book maybe, but if i didn't have my kindle book to help me break from the performance I may have given up on this series 10 books ago.

Any additional comments?

The series is a good one just get past the narration and you can love Abby, Candace, Dutch, Brice, Milo and the rest of the "crew"

Performance hiccups

For whatever reason there seemed to be story issues when relayed from a Bluetooth. Didn’t have any issue on the first half of the book but second half was bumpy. Thought it was my speaker. There was one bad cut towards the end though and that was without my Bluetooth on.
