Landon Reed is an ex-quarterback convicted of organizing a points-shaving scheme. During his time in prison, he found forgiveness and faith and earned his law degree. Now he longs for an opportunity to prove his loyalty and worth. Be careful what you ask for. Harry McNaughton is one of the founding partners of McNaughton & Clay and the only lawyer willing to take a chance employing an ex-con-turned-lawyer. Though Landon initially questions Harry's ethics and methods, it's clear the crusty old lawyer has one of the most brilliant legal minds Landon has ever encountered. The two dive into preparing a defense for one of the highest-profile murder trials Virginia Beach has seen in decades when Harry is gunned down in what appears to be a random mugging. Then two more lawyers are killed when the firm's private jet crashes. Authorities suspect someone has a vendetta against McNaughton & Clay, leaving Landon and the remaining partner as the final targets. As Landon struggles to keep the firm together, he can't help but wonder, is the plot related to a shady case from McNaughton & Clay' s past, or to the murder trial he's neck-deep in now? And will he survive long enough to find out?

SPOILER ALERT*** When we find out the lawyers allegedly going to die in a plane crash actually had turned the tables on those pursing them. I had thought only one of the two would have been the victim but not the other one.
Steady good performance throughout and he changed his voice just enough for the different characters but not outlandish like some other narrators do.
It's a good exciting tale without profanity and with a Christian element I like.
really good story
When the lead character has to decide if the safety of his family is greater than keeping his integrity.
Randy Singer does it again. Great read and wonderful story to hear.
i do not have written version; however, the audio is 2d to none.
yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ... I forced myself to take a break. Within minutes went back to listen.
Strongly recommend ::: . Love, Loyalty, and Suspense describe this book.
This is a good addition to the Christian legal thriller genre. The characters are Christian without being preacy, over-the-top, holier-than-thou. They make mistakes but want to do the right thigns.
A lot of the insider trading aspect of the book went over my head, but I was hooked to this book from the beginning. Joey Collins' voice is well-modulated, accents slight and convincing. Very good book!
I am not sure I am going to be able to finish this one. This narration is the worst I have ever heard. Normally I sample the book before buying and downloading but for some reason I did not with this.
I can't get a handle on the story for the poor narration.
Needless to say I wish I had not purchased this book.
