And in the midst of a world ready to explode, American president James MacPherson's second term is ending. The battle to succeed him is heating up into the most fiercely contested presidential election in American history. Who will lead a bitterly divided country over the next four years? And just what role - if any - does the U.S. play in history's last days?
As the presidential campaign narrows into a dead heat, the Secret Service learns of a catastrophic terrorist plot to assassinate one of the candidates - but which one? Who do they want dead? And can U.S. forces stop the terrorists before millions lose their lives?

Biblical Christians would like this book
Overbearing religious elements
Narrator was fine
Anger that the book was misrepresented
Story is not believeable
Loved this book and Phil Gigante is one of my favorite narrators. Given the current political climate, it was somewhat scary reading.
I truly have enjoyed all of mr rosenberg's books. they are christian fiction, are pro israeli, and deal with bible prophesy. if this doesn't appeal to you, then you probably would not like. if you are curious what biblical prophesy is about, give the book a try. if ths sounds right up your "alley", you will probably enjoy. the plan of salvation is clearly given for any who are seeking to know god. anyway, I truly have enjoyed all this authors books. am ready for the next book when it comes out. thanks for letting me express my opinion.
The fictional novel written around Biblical truth is breathtaking. I pray all who listen take heed and make their decision to accept Christ and follow Him.
Interesting story line developement. Obviously the author is a Christian believer and the way the story evolves during the series one could suspect he became a born again follower during the writing of this series or it was his intent to shift the story to involve Christian/Jewish prophecies from the beginning . Either way a very good listen. A bit too much Stars and Stripes God Bless America flag waving? As a non American it got to be a bit much - evil can come in many forms - the one area the author does get right is that true followers of Jesus would not kill/maim or defile others for personal gain or promote death and destruction of others for personal gain. Although, he clearly is biased in his America can do no evil and paints the Middle East, Russia and other communist countries with a very old and tired rhetorical brush. That being said, I think I'll start doing some of my own theological research. Thank you.
One last thing - would have preferred to have kept the same narrator for the entire series.
The author is very creative spinning a believable scenario of the politics and economics that could lead to the end times. I enjoyed the tale, although it was wordy. I wonder if an abridged version would have been sufficient....Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
