it is another winner from the dick francis stable
it keeps you intreged wondering who is up to no good
no it gets you hooked on the story though
The voice of the narrator and nice turns in the story: Allthough a completly new field (cooking instead of riding), it is well researched and this very interesting to get insights of how to run a restaurant.
Tony Britton has such a gentle and calm voice, he is perfect for bringing Dick Francis'characters to life, which are usually no heroes, but no fools either.
Sadly the story is fairly dull from halfway through onwards and the reader sounds too old for the role - very sorry about this as I've loved his reading of previous Dick Francis books.
Wouldn't recommend it..
"Not the best"
narrator is too old for the characters. plot development too slow. gets its pace on the second half
Very enjoyable book dick Francis at his best. Lots of twists and turns and exciting dialogue.
"A good listen"
As Always Tony Brittons narration is excellent as is the story. Dick Francis is one of my favourite authors. Detail and excitement.
