TW Brown
Winter is losing its grip. For Billy and the survivors who began the nightmare, the loss of Steve Hobart is devastating, but could they finally be finding a place to truly call home? Kevin resumes his original quest for a safe place in the Badlands of the Dakotas, but with a whole new gang. However, they stumble across another group of survivors and face a new dilemma. Do you try to save others at the risk of those you know and love? Around the world, small bands of survivors fight to carve out a place for themselves, whether it is Sauvie Island or the British Isles...the struggle is the same. More horrors await, but with it, the first children of this new world bring hope...

Would you listen to Dead again? Why?
Yes i would listen again. I am sure there are things that i missed or maybe misheard. I did rewind it a bit a couple times just to be sure i caught it all. I would listen to the whole series again! What other book might you compare Dead to and why?
I don't really have anything else to compare it to except for all the other books in this series. I haven't read or listened to another book that has gone as indepth to the actual zombies themselves, not so much this book as in previous ones although the kids were at least brought up in this one. What the zombies are thinking (or not as the case may be) and the animals... still have questions on the animals (cats!!!!)Which scene was your favorite?
I have to say the part with the group trying to meet with the trailer park group to try to come to an "understainding"? is that the right word... well, anyway that was one of my favorite parts. from when "our" group walked up all the way to when they left. I also like the cats part, it did leave me with questions about some of the animals... i'm always curious about the animals. I also liked the baby... it did answer at least some of my wonderings on what would happen if type questions.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I almost cried at a few places, i probably would have if i hadn't been at work listening. I did laugh at a few parts, like the character taking care of the girls' misunderstanding and the women's reaction to him about it. Steve's baby gave me the misty eyes, loved Steve and still can't believe he is gone.Any additional comments?
Love all these books!!! They are a must read for any zombie fan!Awesome Series!

Now it’s any mans land and vigilante justice is the new way of life. Thank goodness there are still good guys fighting for the meek and vulnerable! The question is, will the moral, ethical survivors be able to keep on, and finally create a decent way of life for themselves? Considering all the continuous losses suffered from zombies and decrepit humans alike, I am worried, and loving the nonstop emotional and action packed plot!
Onward to book 8 in this phenomenally well written, smart series!
