With Darcy driving me out of London in a borrowed motorcar, I soon discover that he isn't planning to introduce me to the pleasures of sinning in secret - as I had hoped - but to make me his wife! Of course there are some quibbles to be dealt with, such as my needing special permission from the king to marry a Roman Catholic and the question of where we might live after the honeymoon. Though he will inherit a title, Darcy is as broke as I am. Even his family's Irish castle has been sold to a rich American who now employs Darcy's father as a hired hand.

Throwing these cares to the wind, nothing could deter us from our mission - except perhaps the news that my future father-in-law has just been arrested. It seems the rich American was murdered, and Darcy's father had more than enough motive to do the deed. With the elopement postponed, we head for Ireland, where he insists he's innocent, and it's up to us to prove it - for better or worse.

Crowned & Dangerous

Love love Katherine Kellgren! Her accents & voices were so good and love the sense of humor by the narrator, Lady Georgiana. Good mystery, funny, clean language ( such a novelty nowadays!).

If you enjoy a good, but lightweight mystery every now and then, Rhys Bowen is clever author.

We need more

Love the family, dad, auntie, and Zulu. Can't wait for the next installment. Love that Queenie finally improved some and may have ended up in the right household! Really hope for great details on the wedding!

charming

The new characters are wonderful and add such a depth to the book. I love the setting of Ireland, especially the descriptions of the castles and country side. The murder mystery is fun. I highly recommend this one. I am also reading the the entire series.

Another lighthearted, entertaining listen

I always enjoy a Rhys BOWEN novel. This series is so good. I love following the characters through another adventure. I'm always sad when the best ok comes to the end.

Katherine Kellgren is a jewel! The story and her amazing performance were fantastic! One of the best - and that's saying something (Audible employs such talented actors)!

Another fabulous adventure

Even when I think I know what's going on, Rhys always manages a few surprises. Katherine Kellgren is forever amazing me with the voices she brings to life! Just brilliant! Another great edition to the Georgie Diaries.

Maybe my favorite in the series so far

I was very glad that Queenie made some progress in this one. I definitely prefer her being lovably inept versus surly and annoying, as she has been in some of the stories. I also loved the interactions between the princess and Darcy's dad. This series is obviously fluff, but this installment was thoroughly satisfying fluff. And Kellgren is one of the best narrators I've heard.

This is an outstanding series! Well written and well narrated! Nice progression of the character development! Must read!
