Publisher's summary

With the precision of a surgeon, a serial killer preys on the most vulnerable souls of the world's city streets. The first victim: a sidewalk sleeper, found dead in New York City. No bruises, no signs of struggle. Just a laser-perfect, fist-sized hole where his heart had once been. Lieutenant Eve Dallas is assigned to investigate. But in the heat of a cat-and-mouse game with the killer, Dallas' job is suddenly on the line. Now her hands are tied...between a struggle for justice - and a fight for her career.
Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

Eve does it again

As usual Eve does it again. I even got emotional when she got suspended, but was so happy when she was reinstated. I love Eve, Roarke, Peabody, McNab, and Captain Finney!!

About as expected

Having read several of the books in this series, I was not disappointed. However, I still feel the author spends a little too much time on her romantic happenings with her hubby. Otherwise, a fun read.

Great series

What did you love best about Conspiracy in Death?

I am into the evolving characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Eve is probably my least favorite character.

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

Every voice was seperate and distinct. I could visualize each one.

Any additional comments?

Can't wait until I get the next one.

one of the best narrations

I don't know if when recording this book Susan Ericksen was about to get a head cold, because her tone of voice is slightly mellower here when compared to other books, and it makes for a fantastic narration.
The story itself delivers its well balanced content of character development, suspense and police procedural drama. In this book we are introduced to Trueheart for the first time, which marks the book as a landmark one. Recommended.

Awesome story

Oh wow! Eve Dallas went through some manger trials in this one. Reinforced the love Roarke has for her. Rather beautiful really. Some very tense moments. Awesome story.

I do enjoy listening to Susan Ericksen. She does a very nice job.
