Publisher's summary

Fearless counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp finds himself directly in the line of fire in the latest riveting political thriller from New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn.

For years, Mitch Rapp's bold actions have saved the lives of countless Americans. His battles for peace and freedom have made him a hero to many, and an enemy to countless more. In the tangled, duplicitous world of espionage, there are those, even among America's allies, who want to see Mitch Rapp eliminated. They have decided the time has come.

Now, the powerful father of a dead terrorist demands vengeance in its simplest form, an eye for an eye, and Rapp instantly becomes the target of an international conspiracy. This time, he must use all of his vigilance and determination to save himself before he can turn his fury on those who have dared to betray him.

Consent to Kill takes listeners behind the headlines and catapults them to the front lines of the global war on terror. It sizzles "with inside information, military muscle, and CIA secrets" (Dan Brown). Vince Flynn mixes military technology with his exclusive knowledge of Washington politics to create a hero that Americans will wish existed outside the realm of fiction.

Just my kind of book, vicious brutal executing bad guys

Great book, probably my fav so far. Big Grey Man, Orphan X, Tier One, Joe Ledger, Terminal List fan/reader. Mitch is winning his way into my heart with Cort Gentry, Evan Smoak, John Dempsey, James Reese, I would kill to see all these guys in a crossover book/movie/series together. I love when the narrator just tells the story, I DON'T however, like when he does voices. Mitch is 34, he shouldn't sound 74. Plus, all the mispronunciations will distract you.

Unexpected Twists Make “Consent to Kill” a Standout

“Consent to Kill” by Vince Flynn stands out as one of the best installments in the Mitch Rapp series. Despite initially picking up this book while waiting for the next release in another series, I found myself completely drawn into the world of Mitch Rapp. Having listened to all the previous books in order, I can confidently say that this one is a highlight of the series. Flynn’s storytelling is masterful, with a gripping plot that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The character development, intense action, and intricate details make this novel a standout. If you’re a fan of political thrillers and espionage, “Consent to Kill” is an absolute must-read.

Consent to Kill (Unabridged

I have purchased many books through Audible over the years and want to say that this title is amongst the best I have listened to. It literally dominated my weekend as I could not press the stop button on my player. One of the best stories and best narrators (George Guidall) I have heard. The narrator can make or break an audible book. Thank you Mr. Flynn for this gripping novel.

Wonderful book - perfectly read!

This was my first Vince Flynn novel - talk about a great escape while jogging in the morning dark! George Guidall is the best reader I've heard, bar none. I would even listen to him read the phone book! Thanks to both for helping me keep in shape!

I will be happy to assist ... of course free of charge :P

Which scene was your favorite?

The last scene. so moving

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Just Great!

I'm no critic. I have listened to over 30 audiobooks and this is my first review. This was my first Flynn book & I just couldn't stop listening. I was immediately engaged - the imagery was captivating. Character development was excellent - I felt like I knew the characters, loved their interaction and even started anticipating their next moves. The narration is excellent. The only down side was when I finished the story I wanted more - so on to Act of Treason!

Would somebody please fire Guidall

Where does Consent to Kill rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

Would have been in the top tier if not for narration.

What other book might you compare Consent to Kill to and why?

Flynn is one of my favorite thriller writers, anything by him is going to have a full, rich story and this one is no exception.

How could the performance have been better?

GET RID OF GUIDALL!! His voice reminds me of an old man with bad breath and body odor. I have listened to dozens of books read by him including the Gunslinger series and I find that his voice would be better suited to classics instead of thrillers. While I would go fishing with him I don't want to listen to him. His accent and the pitch and timbre of his voice subtract from the story. His characterizations are fine as long as the characters are 60+ years old but he doesn't do youth well

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

In a world.............

Any additional comments?

I love Vince Flynn. I have met people that remind me of the type of people he writes about so to me the characters are totally believable. The scenarios and situations he puts them in are exciting. Stretched reality yeah but it IS a story made to be entertaining, but hey who's to say things like this don't happen all the time. His stories are always technically accurate when it come to firearms. It cheeses me off to no end when an author who is supposed to do research shows complete ignorance and at times stupidity (King) when it comes to a characters most important gear in the thriller category. Flynn knows his stuff. BUT, as of this writing Guidall is still performing Flynn's books. Until he gets fired I'll be reading in print
